In any situation where there is any chance whatsoever of live and viable birth of the child, abortion for the sake of the mother is not a defensible position. And I am saying that short of rape or the certain death of the mother where the child is very unlikely to survive as well there is absolutely no possibility that an abortion can be justified. The simple fact of the matter is that an abortion is an activity wherein the statement is made that the comfort or convenience of one person is more important than the life of another.
