  • thank you for posting this version. i once saw this in tcm and loved it. i'm glad to be watching this again. laurence olivier is a legend and greer garson was one of the best back then.

  • I still prefer this movie's 1940 version over the others. It's quick wit, comedic pace and Lawrence Olivier make it fun to watch! :)

  • this version is soo funny! and the lines!!!!! i laughed so hard while watching it, i love the 2005 version cause it has the best actors, i sort of like the 1995 version because of the "sticking to the story line" but this one is so ridiculous, i like it. honestly, it looks like gone with the wind was filmed on the same day, and the this elizabeth sliped out of her dress to let the scarlet wear while being filmed!

  • I laaaaaaaaahve this movie

  • Please Please someone upload this film its impossible to find!!!

  • Thanks a lot, for me, old things are sweeter and nicer, probably it is my age ...

  • Love Laurence Olivier as Darcy!!

  • Love Frank Sinatra and love this movie so naturally I love this video.

    Excellent job.

  • As some other of you have posted, the costumes are odd---but you see that often in "period" movies from the 30's-late 50's; the costumes would hint at the period they were representing, but mostly would look fashionable for the time of a film's release. Greer Garson's costumes in "P&P" could've graced any 1940's debutante ball and not seem out of place, but were not representative of the empire period (of course, the Bennet parents might have found it diffiult to keep each girl "au courant")...

  • omj my name's greer lol that's who my parents named me after

  • the costume are sooo bad!! but id like to c this version to c how olivier does.xxx

  • I know that Greer and Lawrence never imagined they would still have fans in the year 2008! It is amazing!!

  • questo e' l'unico orgoglio e pregiudizio.grande greer garson.ti amo alessandro.

  • LOL love itttt. Laurence Olivier was such a hottie in this film

  • Strange clothes....

  • lol! This is so awesome!

  • Thanks for your reviews!

I love this version! It has some twists from the original Jane Austen book, but, who cares! ;)
