Baby Gopher Tortoise

Please help me! I found one of these guys and he is very very small although hes still very active. I took him in because I found him in a very predator infested area and couldnt live with myself if I left him to die. Now he wont eat though and im very worried! What do they eat? Ive given him lettuce even rubbed it on his mouth but nothing!

@UncivilizedMonkeys He should be eating by now, and its against the laws to keep these unless you have a permit.

Aww... too cute. This reminds me of the gopher tortoises that my parents raise. I love it when they hatch in September/October.

oh really. i have about 20 of them in my yard and they eat the leftover meat that our family has.they are smart enogh to tip the trash can and open the lid.

They are also an extremly endangered species and you can be arested for touching one.

these tortises like slugs and rolie polies they will eat a million of them!! and they love tropical enviroments they are not desert tortises so no constant light!!!!

What are you talking about? This is a gopher tortoise. They are herbivores and are not tropical!
