Well.......to be honest.....she makes very many mistakes....as always....probably she could not really handle the big piano works.....I remember once hearing her play Beethoven's sonata op 111 where she missed the two octave jumps right at the beginning......it must have been horrible for her to continue.....she did better in Mozart and Schubert......
I do not care about her mistakes, I do not listen any, for I am a beginner. But I LOVE her playing in the very piano part where she is singing, the piano is singing. Especialy 3:15-4min where I can not resist to sing and 4:15 where she is smoothliy sliding, this very this moment of sliding, it has not every pianist! I adore how she interprets it! Kissin is for example hesitate whithin. She and Piotr Anderszewski are sliding and made this just gorgeous moment delicious to listen
I don't usually associate Clara Haskil with the music of Chopin (I tend more to think of her sublime Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Schumann), but this is really beautiful...having had Cortot as one of her teachers certainly couldn't have hurt, in terms of absorbing the Chopin style, but Clara Haskil was music itself--she could have played Chopsticks and it would have been beautiful!
She could play anything rare musical wonder read her bio and you will see what a talent she was to music.
