I think this might be the truest epitome of Xerxes. Down early (Starmie down to red with an Ape cruisin' around), yet pure skills and Shedinja pull you out. Also, you insult your battling a lot ("I'm rusty" [your previous game before this was 2 days prior. Before THAT, however, it was...10 days. lol.]) I really think the high quality narration and the battle itself really make this the best example of waht Xerxes does.

Hey Xerxes, I have a hypothetical situation and I was wondering if you'd know the answer. If Shedinja is given a Focus Sash to hold, it is able to withstand one hit, but will die upon the second hit, correct? But what if you switch out after it is hit, then switch it back in later? Will Shedinja still have the Focus Sash? Or does it lose the Sash as soon as it activates, and thats it for FS Shedinja?

But thankfully focus sashes are like berries, they're used and gone. So he gets one free hit and thats all.

@Peepeenii Shedinja may look fragile with only 1hp, but you can ONLY hit it with super effective moves, status, and entry hazards.....so there are a lot of pokemon that completely can not hurt it. No other pokemon can say that the same way.

You could use the Daycare or use berries to remove EVs.

So, just go to a place with lvl 4 pokemon and beat them up all day with a lvl 10 daycare'd poke.

Any time a pokemon gains EXP, so sadly....yeah.....he would get a lot from an E4 run.

Are you attempting to EV train the pokes you used during the story? BEcause they likely already have full EVs, so you didn't do much training at all.

You gotta start with fresh pokes, or use Berries to remove EVs back to 0 and start over.

Shedinja should get pain split. It would work so well on a shedinja, becasue.. it will always cut on half the opponents HP!! It would be a 100% accuracy "super fang"!! and of course if you caught it on a switch you will be dealing with half of whatever the opponent has to destroy shedinja

Reversal and frail depend on HP percentages, not the HP value. 1/1 is 100%, so both of those moves would have 20 base power, the lowest possible.

It's not realy that hard to EV train your POkes..

In a day, i can, like have to fully EV trained Pokemon..

I don't care much of the IV's but i try to catch the bect IV'd pokemon out there because trust me, when you have a good strategy and a good team, IV's won't matter much...

as for the Level.. You don't need to train them up to 100 since in WiFI battles, tey'l automaticaly be lvl. 100 assuming you enetered a lvl. 100 battle..

The IV's come with the pokemon you catch. Just look for marriland stats calculator on google and you'll find one that tells the max IV a wild pokemon can have on a certin level. For EVs you only can have a max of 510 EV. A stat requiers 255 to get max out. So when you get 510 EVs you don't need to get worried about EV training anymore. Each vitamin gives 10 EV too, so you can statrt having at least 100 EV in a stat when EV training

If a shedinja has a focus sash and it gets used and then you switch it out and then you switch it back in later, does the focus sash get 'refreshed' and work again??? I mean because shedinja still has full health.

i got a perfect double battle technique with your breloom, just if you decide to do another battle. You can make your breloom hold leftovers while your partner pokemon poisons his own partner pokemon, breloom. That way he will heal double time.

Example:

Garchomp Starmie

Breloom  Weezing

Weezing uses toxic against breloom while breloom gets healed double time!
