You are genuinely an incredible teacher who never fails to brighten up my day with your enthusiastic and extremely well articulated lessons. Keep it up Justin.
you are an awesome instructor!!!! this helps me alot and i love how you know what you're saying and how you sing along with it a little it helps me so much
At a guess that guita didn't come with a pick guard so to protect the guitars finish he covered the areas the pick is likely to scratch???? hense the name PICK GUARD ;)
But I could be wrong, It does happen on ocasions. LOL
the pick guitar that came with it was plastic. I taped velcro over the top of it because my plastic nails kept on tapping on the plastic and making a sound when I was recording. Problem solved. It just looks silly!
@kdjinn - sure, acrylic nails. much tougher than natural nails, reduces chipping and so forth. I thought about doing it for a long time, and then broke one of my nails all the way across the quick, halfway down the nail. Went into the nail shop and had it repaired, and just had my whole right hand done so it didn't look so weird. Quite like playing with them this way. May keep it, may not, but it works very well. I'm not surprised at all that Justin has his done - this is his job!
@kdjinn Don't worry, i know what you're thinking but it's strictly for guitar playing purposes, lots of people use plastic nails to play classical songs if their actual fingernails aren't long enough to be used as picks like so many classical or chicken picked songs require. Hope that cleared everything up.
City center area but Im actually moving house as soon as I find one so I cant say for certain what part of cork I'm in. I'm studying Film and Video production in St Johns Central College.... Why do you ask?
I hate to sound petty or anything like that as I'm only learning the song from this vid but is ther a G(suss4) on the second chord C note on B string (second string first fret)? I hear it but I dont own the record (showing my age lol) to check for myself
PS if I ever make a living at this music game I owe a lot to you Justin
THANKS a million.
If you are ever in Cork City Ireland look me up? I owe ya at least a beer or six and maybe a bit of a jam. Best of luck with the new Album

I always felt the strumming techniques I learned in this song (especially in the intro) helped in Dust in the Wind..
you might want to do a follow up with Dust in the Wind (if you haven't already done that song)
also.. I always thought the D/F# chord was used in the outro also.. but I guess it doesn't matter too much
