You've nailed a big point here. Two issues - abortion and gays - have diverted too much of church people's attention away from issues that really matter to the future success of our society.
Those two "issues" used as stimulus to get the response they want, which isn't to improve society. Laws don't prevent gays from being gay or even prevent abortion. Society should want to protect young mothers from underground abortions, which could easily be prevented with councelling and guidance. Gays have been lied to by the church so long that God loves gays so it is okay, but that is not true. God loves everyone and accepts them the way they are. He changes us if we allow that change.
I think TV is a good example of programming parents how not to act. Watch any sitcom and the conflicts are between ishues that should not even be addressed in family viewing such as gay issues or getting away with some diception of some type.
There's all kinds of people out there raising kids. If you don't like a TV show, don't watch it. I doubt many parents take their cues from watching sitcoms.

I differ with your writing that Gene Robinson (a sinner) is the "ultimate low point" in the Christian church. Rather when the Catholic church acted as if they could take the power of salvation from Jesus or Psalms 51:17 and thus pretended they had the power to shorten the hand of God Himself the ultimate low point was achieved.
We are all sinners, but Gene Robinson needs Psalms 51:17 and so does every sinner. Every sinner needs salvation which comes from God.

Let's say I'm Christian and your religion is Voodoo. It won't hurt my faith one bit that your religion is Voodoo or your sexual orientation is being gay, and that is also your religion. My belief that the word 'marriage' is between a man and a woman will not change due to your gay religion. A union between gays is not a marriage, and if your religion claims a lie, it still is not a marriage but rather a gay union, so call it what it is.

I am no Christian but I have complete respect for all who pursue alignment with God. The Corinthian quote from Geronami only proves that true spiritual people should NOT get themselves dirty in politics. We do NOT separate ourselves from the unclean world by trying to change it to our liking. That's my position as a spiritual seeker. As an American citizen, however, it is none of my business who wants to get married to who, nor is it yours. Peoples' rights are not determined by popular vote.

You are correct. It is our duty to keep ourselves from the don'ts. My point is that it is NOT our business to deny other Americans of their right to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, so long as they're not harming us. I do not recall ever being harmed by a gay/lesbian person and I've encountered quite a few. If you have a specific belief system which requires you to attempt to counsel others, fine. But if they resist, you have no right to press it as at that point, you are meddling.

No American is bound by the Bible if they don't believe in it, only those that do. Gays/lesbians represent only about 5% of the population. They're no threat to me or my way of life. The group of 3 or 4 people that want to get married (never heard of them)represent a microscopic percentage so they can do whatever their belief system requires. A similar argument to yours was made fifty years ago about how inter-racial marriage would destroy everything. Wrong.

There's no thinking involved. "Duh...I wonder if I think I should be attracted to that pretty woman over there...duh." When did you choose to like women? What "choice" did YOU make? Actually my frontal lobe as well as the lymbic system and my conscious, sub conscious and unconscious minds all are atracted to women and I know it isn't all my idea, but sometimes it is. Since I was born women have loved me, and I didn't ever give that much thought until I had strong urges for female companionships. Now children are going through their lives being indoctrinated to be gay, and arguing whether it is a choice or not.

CribNotes, lets say some group decides it is their right wear their dirty underware over their work clothes. Now that same group files discrimination charges due to employers not giving them the same chance as people that wear their underware correctly. You have the test subjects fill out a questionnaire regarding their viewpoints on homosexuality. Then you strap some sensors on their bodies monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, sweating, etc.. Then you show them some gay photos. The more homophobic you are, the more likely you will exhibit signs of sexual response while viewing these photos. Straight guys like me who are not homophobes are less likely to show physical signs of sexual response.

It's obvious gays and hetrosexuals will respond differently to the same stimulus, however, as a rule, the more highly controlled the experiment, the less generally applicable the results. For instance emotional reactions to the photos are tied to the limbic system which is tied to the fight -flight response so anger could be confused with sick gay urges. Observing for an erection & some people would not become erect whereas others it would cause an erection due to thinking about it/Unreliable!

When someone commits a violent act against another it is usually a response, whether justified or not yet it is often provoked. I remember when I was younger and gays would bother me and I would flee, and when I see gays bother youth now and someone sticks up for the gays doing so I consider them worse than the gays. Some people in the church opposed a few pieces of information due to not being aware of the significance or insignificance of whether the Earth revolved around the sun.

Those two "issues" used as stimulus to get the response they want, which isn't to improve society. Laws don't prevent gays from being gay or even prevent abortion. Society should want to protect young mothers from underground abortions, which could easily be prevented with councelling and guidance. Gays have been lied to by the church so long that God loves gays so it is okay, but that is not true. God loves everyone and accepts them the way they are. He changes us if we allow that change.

Advertisers that sponsor TV broadcasting only need 90 seconds, so since the gays agendas are on every channel, it would be ludicrous to think they aren't making an influence on impressionable minds after hours of that nonsense. The USA is based on our founding documents - the Declaration, the Constitution, and Bill of Rights. Only those documents are permitted to be used to govern this nation. A union between same sex or human and animal or whatever other perversions is not a marriage. Passing laws against such perversions may not be enforceable and even then force does not work. Here's another example of an extra definition of the word "marry" which you should try to stop before it destroys our society. In a restaurant, ketchup bottles look better when they are full, so the waiters gather the bottles of ketchup together after the shift and pour the half-empty bottles together to make full ones. This process is called "marrying the ketchup bottles". I believe if ketchup can get married in the English language, so can gays and lesbians.

The Pope has time and again Reiterated that Slavery is Ordained by Christ and Pagans have to be slaves of The God's Men. ofcourse, post conversion of Coloured people to Christianity, slavery took the shape of racism.
The one whom you call as Mother teresa, has stated "Poor People Should take it as their fate and serve The Rich without Question"

The Pope is the AntiChrist, and all reformers know this. In the Bible the Books of Daniel are clear on this. First Babelon ruled by Nebechednezar, then The Medes and Persians, the next world power was Greeks then Rome. When this was written it was prophesy but now that it happened it is history proving the Bible true. Vatican City in Rome represents Church rule, London City mammon and Washinngton District of Columbia War. These 3 kingdoms are beasts.

Second, from what or where are you citing Mother Teresa? She's a lot more noble of a soul than most people anyway. Interesting you call her a low life along with everyone else who disagrees with you. Her life was about helping the lowest of classes. She's done a lot more for the poor than you ever will.

First of all, I don't follow what the pope says. He's not the main voice of Christianity. So you shouldn't base the Christian faith from the words of that man. And what pope are you talking about anyways? By the way, slavery didn't take the shape of racism. Racism has been a part of slavery all along.

Pope including the current papl who served under Hitler has approved slavery. your mother teresa is a great poponent of slavery and in her interview to Christopher Hitchens she advocated that poor people should without question serve the rich as it is mandated by God.
NO Christian has ever contested any of The Pope's Remarks.
