Danzig caring the coffin, reminds me of Charon of Greek Myth, harboring souls on a ferry on the river styx... But this time, the souls are in the coffin, and the river is a ghost town... And the goat head is a marker for the end of the road. The lady is Death, of course, the final destination. Glenn is doing a great job, I hope his next album sounds like this! :D

I would agree with you 100 percent.... but, the mood that Danzig is displaying and the role of the woman gives me the idea that it has more to do with taking his soul. Regardless, an excellent observation, I hadn't even thought of that before you posted this. Of course, it could be Danzig's artistic interpretation of Charon. Perhaps "Charon's Lament, lol

I don't know, it seems like the coffin represents a much more specific burden than life's burdens in general, especially with the cackling woman in black and the burning pictures. But maybe it is, it could be that he's dragging life's burdens only to be laughed at by death.... hmmmm.... we could debate this all fucking night lol
