You know, it's always bothered me that the ultra high-register singing (like what Minnie Riperton & Mariah Carey do) is called "whistle" anything, because technically it isn't any form of whistling, it is still singing using the vocal cords. It's like a super-falsetto voice, if that makes sense. I wouldn't really care what people call it if it did not create so much confusion about the subject! LOL (Yes, I know, I am obsessed with whistling.)

1, Hacki Tamás has been examined by doctors severaly times - he has no reed (and anything like that) in his mouth. That is a fact.

2, he has been deceiving the world for three decades, is that what you claim ? LOL

3, If "seeing is believing" is your philosophy, then you must believe nothing from science and history.

4, If it takes a reed to whistle like this, then go ahead, get a reed and start giving perormances - until you get caught cheating.

He has got 100% a reed in the mouth, because normally whistling is done with tongue and lips, whereas he opens his lips and mouth. The same technique I observed at the flee market from whistle reed sellers...

Besides, I whistle exactly the same piece, but without any reed gadget in my mouth; i.e. just with my lips, tongue and soul.

You"re absolutely wrong. It is possible to sing like this without any device - I can do it but at a much poorer level. This is the only way you can achieve this complex sound in whistling.

He did not put anything in his mouth for whistling (doctors examined this magnificent technique). He became world famous with this unique, whistling technology without liprounding. This video was set about 1964. If you want to look at him nowadays, search for Tamas Hacki on YouTube.

I had never heard of this whistler before. And I have never heard anyone with this kind of control and purity of tone using an open mouth technique. There are a few others out there who have gained some fame with this technique but this guy blows all of them away. I cannot whistle like this. (Have tried but am unable to.) If you are ignorant enough to think that whistling is only done by the lips, I am not surprised that you think it's fake. Maybe you should take a look at whistling on Wikipedia:

"The air is moderated by the tongue, lips, teeth, or fingers to create turbulence, and the mouth acts as a resonant chamber"

Also take a look at Types of Whistling:

"Roof or palatal whistling, in which the turbulence is produced by air being pushed between the tongue and the roof (palate or alveolar ridge) of the mouth"

Nagyon jó! 5* Én ismerem ezt a technikát, sőt, én is tudok hasonlóan fütyülni, persze közel sem ennyire magas fokon. (-: Ez a Törökinduló a legjobb (és szerintem a legnehezebb) száma. Ezt sose tudom elfütyülni megközelítőleg se. )-: Úgy is lehet, hogy az ember szétfeszíti a kezével a száját(az eléggé vicces), sőt csukott szájjal is lehet úgy, hogy oldalra illetve előre gyűlik a levegő, azt meg az orron ki kell fúnjni. Viszont így eléggé nehéz, folyamatosan meg pláne. Ezt én se tudom jól. (-:
