This movie is a steaming heap of sh*t!!! I want my $ 3.99 back but not as much as I want the 2 hours you have stolen from me! Pretentious, trite garbage! Who did you pay off to get this stinker on demand? Do yourself and everyone a favor, PLEASE...PLEASE.....PLEASE stop making films.
im from lebanon to be exaact 11th and lehman st where the northside hustlas come from. lebanon is a place where you can raise ya kids but if they get caught in the underworld of the drug game it can be terrible.
I've lived here for 37 years...on the northside, it's not that bad, it's just boring, and since New York put signs up to get easy welfare here, it's gotten a lot of people that dont' want to work, I don't know about gang banging, I've never seen that.
@DagothJones......yea really. and you mussa been in the wrong lebanon cuz white people was mos. def. the minority. besides us black folks, yes i'm black so you can shove your lil slick remark up your momma's ass. and from what i see on your video looks like you the one that could be missin sum teeth.....white or not. lol
Q to Hickernell: How did you come up with the idea?
A: It’s just a story. My dad who’s here in the audience, was born and raised in Lebanon PA. I go there regularly for holidays, and I live in Philadelphia, so the background comes from my life. But the story itself… well, I wasn’t a pregnant teenager, contrary to popular belief (smile). It really came out of a response to the 2004 election. It’s not a political movie, but ... I lived in Lebanon all my life lol im only 14 though, School sucks to many purto-ricans im not racist im just sick of them speaking spanish! South side of the tracks is good people not may purto-ricans, But when you go on the North Side its a whole diffrent story nothing but purto-ricans that sell drugs and are in gangs!
@BAMDANAproductions.....i moved from there in july 07'. i'm sure it has prolly gotten worse and will jus keep gettin worse. and same here, not racist at all. But the Puerto ricans are sooo mean, i had problems with mostly the females. I agree with you 100%, their egos are though the roof! I met a handful of nice people but most of them think if you aren't from PR or new york u are beneath them. I don't think lebanon can get any better, unfortunately it's too far gone.
I still live in lebanon, ive lived here my whole life pretty much. There's too many assholes living here, people always have a bug up their ass here, not to mention theres way too many puerto ricans. Im not racist, but the puerto ricans here always feel like they having something to prove, like they have a huge ego. It's seriously bad, Ive never met more nastier people than the people of lebanon. Still, id love to see the film. but dont come to lebanon unless you wanna get an addiction and die.
I am trying to debate if the fact that a movie was made about Lebanon, PA is a good or a bad thing. Considering most of the areas and locals aren't exactly the most spectacular. (Not to mention our school were... fun.)
i lived in puerto rico...oh i mean lebanon for three looonnnggg terrible years!! nuthing but a bunch of dirty ass row and rooming houses. once you step over them railroad tracks and hit the northside crack heads galore!! I still cant get that damn spanish music that i always heard out my damn head..lol. So glad to be out scummy place and i will never go there again! Somebody had to have been on some pretty powerful shit when they decided to make a movie there..lol
@mjbaby329 I sorta agree, but its not just housing rooms, there really is a lot of fun to be had in lebanon, so long as you know the right people in it. but your right, its more shitty than the fun to be had, so much the funs not even worth it. I dont know when you moved from lebanon, but i know now stupid capello is mayor. so now lebanon is just getting worse. If you know anything about me and who i am, I fucking hate the capellos, the whole family. the north of the tracks is still -
@mjbaby329 the north of the tracks is still drug infested, gang infested, and really shitty. and south of the tracks is gang infested, and drama infested. not to mention 95% of the population is really mean puerto ricans. ive got nothing against puerto ricans, but most of the ones here came here from new york, and come with a real big attitude and a huge ego problem. I tried to be nice to people here in lebanon but its not worth it. if you dont believe me, try being nice here, youll see.
The song is by the band Matt Pond PA. They have a new album out now and our on tour so go check them out. They did a fantastic job with the music for Lebanon, Pa.
I lived In Lebanon county for the last 10 years. the movie looks great but never thought anyone would make a movie in the town of Lebanon. What are the chances. Lebanon isn't the greatest place but I actually like it here. I don't think I would leave lebanon county. :)
I've lived in Lebanon for over 15 years now and i gotta say the trailer sux just like this fucking town, can't wait to move to Myerstown or Annville!!!!!!!!
seriously?? myerstown or annville? thats still the same county!!!!! geez whats the point of moving then? its just two different sides of the county!!!! but yeah I do agree...it sucks...
ahhh, home sweet home... just the trailer captures the spirit of the place and the whole "returning home..from the city..." thing...hope the story is strong...good luck w/ the film, guys....
maybe next time i go back to visit i'll fall for a hot teacher at my old high school....all my younger female relatives already had their babies....hoping my dad doesn't have to die either....haha...
sucks you had to rip off "elizabethtown" though....
Looks like a great story. Many who currently, or used to live in Lebanon PA will think... "who wants to see a movie about Lebanon". That misses the point... The story is not about Lebanon... it takes place in Lebanon and environs... the setting, is not as important as the people that live there, and their way of life. Its the perfect setting for this story...
The arab lebanon is better than this fukin crap
