  • What fish is crying??

  • how does a frog live in your tank?

will it try to jump out at any point?

    what do you feed it?

what type of frog is it?

how do you clean your tank down to the grave with the little creatures?

dont they need some kinda rock at the surface or something?

is there any fish you cant mix with these frogs?

  • what r the yellow fish in ur tank please

  • how many gallons is it?

  • your tank looks slightly yellow, is that because of the bogwood or because of the filter or something else? i just got that filter(came with the tank) and it looks likes its doing a shit job of cleaning but i also have bog wood, any tips?

  • Hi, my aquarium was slightly tinted on this vid, but nowhere near as yellow as this vid shows due to poor cam quality. Bogwood needs a good soaking for a couple of weeks ideally, but it does still tint your water for a short while. It does clear up with regular water changes, but just keep an eye on your Ph while it does. Rid that filter and get a Fluval 202 or Fluval 2+ (i'm assuming u have the 60L tank) and carbon pads too, that will do a far superior job and keep your water crystal clear.

  • any suggestions for fish to my soon to be 20 gallon community tank?

  • Beautiful tank! Your BOTTOM fell out!? How did that happen, and what are the chances of that happening!?

  • Lol! Looking back, there was a bit of a design fault with these tanks, the bottom of the glass sits about 3mm off the stand as there's a lip around the base of the tank. It got sent back to the manufacturers and they offered me big box of fish goodies as compensation (as well as a new tank), as they said it must have been faulty. Doesn't take into account the wet carpet, dead fish and moaning missus! lol.

  • Hmm... That's pretty scary. Must of been horrible! I was just wondering, because bothe my 20 and 10 gallon tank are off-level by 5mm, so I'm scared that they are going to collapse now! They are both on stands which are on carpets, but they are still slightly off-level and a little wobbly. Should I worry about this? One tank (20g) has been established for a year already, and there have been no cracks/leaks. And my 10g has been set up for half a year with no leaks/cracks. Is this ok? (off-level?)

  • Ideally, aquariums should be as level as you can get them, but i wouldn't worry too much about it happening to you as this happened within the first 3 months of me having it! I must admit, i still get a bit paranoid over my big aquarium...now that would be like a tsunami if that beast broke! lol

  • lol! Thank you! I may try to level my aquariums, but I really am not worried anymore about them breaking/cracking/leaking/collapsing. I'm more worried about my fishies health.

Again, thanks for the help and beautiful tank!

  • WOW!! That is one nice tank. How much you spend on the tank and the plants (exclude the fishes)? I try to have plants before but somehow they all died =(. Any tip on keeping plants?

  • The aquarium itself was an Elite 60 with matching stand which you pick up now for around £100. The rocks were just ones found and scrubbed, bogwood was £10 for 2 pieces and sand was £10 for 10kg. I used kiln dried silica sand in my big aquarium, £8 for 50kg! If i remember right, there was about £10 plants in there. Plants are pretty easy to keep, make sure your water is good, Co2 helps if you have a lot. Careful what fish you choose too as they pick at them, especially cichlids.

  • Thanks for the info it helps a lot. I have one more question if you have sand and a really complex tank like that. How you clean it?

  • Magnetic cleaners for the glass. When you do a water change, try siphoning it with a hose, that way if you hold the end just over the sand it pulls all the loose bits up. Having a few clean up crew in there helps, like shrimps and a snail.

  • what size tank is that?

very nicely put together. i really enjoy all the colorful fish you have

  • Cheers. This was a 2ft, 60 litre aquarium.

  • froggy???

  • Ur stripey fish is a clown loach.

  • It's actually a zebra loach, and he's still the same size 12 months on!!

  • Hey mate that is one hell of a tank really really nice. I hear you have frogs are they just normal aquatic frogs if they are i need all the knowlage you have on them please help advice would be great love the tank well kept:)

  • Thanks for comment. They are dwarf tropical frogs and just fed on bloodworm. I use frozen bloodworm as it's a bit cheaper and you get a few blocks of it. I found that most of the fish would eat it before frog got any, so i made sure that most of it would fall where he is, so at least he'd get some. Nice and easy to keep.

  • lol tht reallllly sucks about your last tank. thts the yo yo loach by the way. what kind of rainbows do you have?

  • tell me about it!! lol. red rainbows and dwarf blue now.

  • haha that fish was chasing ure guppy

  • Lol I guess your baby is addicted to fish.

  • Very nice set up and fish!

  • cool ;) good locking Aqurium u hawe ther .

i se u hawe a lucky Clown loaces to :)

  • thats an exelent setup it looks very similar to my old one. i just had a disaster with my aquarium it cracked and then broke open =( thats what i get for buying second hand oh well it lasted for 8 years

  • thanks for the comment. :) my last tank cracked open, that was only a couple of months old...and bought new!!

  • your welcome wow that must have been very disapointing. how much did this setup cost you? and do you have any idea how to keep plants looking that good? mine last for about a year or two and then they die and look like crap or is that just natural?

  • if i remember right, it was about £200ish not including fish, and there's a fluval 2 filter in there now, but was gutted when it broke! The plants were newish in this vid, they have grown a lot more now and some leaves look a bit "eaten" and worn! I suppose it's down to leaving lights on only for about 8 hours, and good water...i've heard pink light helps promote better plant growth, but yet to try it. Looking to go with a small 60l marine setup in june, try my hand at something new!

  • The thing with marine setups, if you can get past the first 2-3 months you barely ever have to touch your tank. Most people get discouraged from saltwater because its hard to start. Once you get it started its A LOT of fun :)

  • You should get more tetras. Since they're schooling fish, you should have 6 or more. That goes for the cardinal, neon, rummynose, and glowlight tetras. Also, cherry barbs are schooling fish, so you will want to put a few more in to make them comfortable. 6 is a good number for schooling fish. Also, beware because clown loaches get big. Since it is a smaller tank, they will not grow to full size, but they will get big.

  • Thanks for the advice. I'm looking to get a bigger tank soon, and i think if i put anymore in it might be a bit overcrowded! But once i get my new 1, prob around 120l, i'll get them some buddies.

  • Ya, a 120 should be plenty.

  • Clown loaches also take a long time to grow, nothing like a plecostomus. When you get your 120 get a small pack of them 3-6 and watch them play, they are funny to watch!

  • hey how do the frogs get along with every one? what do they eat?

  • They are fine, they just keep to themselves. They will pick up whatever food you put in such as flakes or granules, but they have bloodworm about 3-4 times a week. I use frozen bloodworm as it's a bit cheaper and goes further.

  • thanks

  • Very nice setup. I really like the mixture of plant, rock and wood.

I'm in the middle of setting up a 29 gal. and I was thinking about putting in some bogwood myself, what did you mean about it taking you a while to get right? Threw the chemistry out of whack?

  • If you do get bogwood, soak it in hot water and change the water evryday as it'll look like "tea". Once the water is clear, still let it soak for a further week or so. It affected the Ph in my tank drastically as i didn't know bout soaking it at first!! If you do use test kits, just keep an eye on the water for a few days once the wood is in! :)

  • many thanks for your comments on helping identifying the loach. Much appreciated! :)

  • I like the setup aloot it looks really natural.. Im new to the hoby about 6 months and my aquarium looks really bare.. well I have a question.. what are your recommendations on sand, driftwood, rocks, and plants.. as I sed I absolutely love the setp and wish my fish were in something more like this..

  • It's natural aquarium sand which i believe is good for loaches. Rocks from lake! The bogwood was a joke to get right,i soaked it for a month as it turns the water brown! It's worth getting test kits,Ph, Nitrate and Amonia kits as bogwood can alter the Ph along with tapwater,i treat water with Nutrafin Cycle and Aqua +. Plants, just go with what you like,I prefer planted than potted, they look nicer and spread.Lighting is only on for 6-7 hrs a day. Hope that helps

  • I think I saw a clown loach and a Yo-Yo (i could never figure out why they were called that) I figured it out one day and felt very dumb...

  • It's called a YoYo Loach because the markings on it kind of look like a Y and an O.

  • the stripey fish is called a yo-yo loach i know this because i use to have one and it does eat baby snails.

  • tetras are schooling fish you need more

  • barbs tend to nip fins at other fish. nice tank tough

  • those cherry barbs will attack those other fish soon! nice tank!

  • this one is better than your last one xD

    check out my tank =]
