  • @cwp91206 Villa was desperate when he attacked Columbus and as you said gained little from that attack. But is offensive to say that Villa was only a bandit compared to american standards . General Pershing, one of the greatest generals in U.S. history, was in charge of chasing Pancho Villa in an illegal action of the U.S in Mexico. However after months of unsuccesful search Gral. Pershing was forced to retire under heavy fire of the Villistas, being defeated by what you consider a "bandit"

  • Villa might be a great general by Mexican standards, but he's nothing but a bandit by American standards. The coward attacked an undefended town and ran like a dog when American soldiers showed up. He lost a lot and gained little from his attack on Columbus. By being forced to hide from the American military, the Revolution lost whatever he might have contributed to it. That's gross incompetence.

  • Villa perdiò 6 hombres ,mi bisabuelo fue uno de los dorados de villa en columbus, y dice que los soldados gringos corrieron a esconderse al monte a los primeros balazos, lo que digan los gringos siempre seràn mentiras.

  • Most documents say villa lost aroun 27 or 30 men on that raid not 300
