The brain doesn't work like that. The brain adapts slowly, so if you shut off part of the brain, you're basically doing the same as turning off a part of a computer's processor. Unless you can instantly change a huge volume of neural connections in a way to make yourself more efficient at the task at hand, then change it right back, there is no way to shift processing power of the brain.
