@afctupassion It's basically an offshoot of hardhouse. I think it would have been someone like the Klubbheads who used the Donk sound in their tunes years ago when it would still have been classed as hardhouse. As time has moved on tunes have been developed around the Donk sound and therefore formed into an alternative genre. I'd say the original donk has now changed into clubland style but with a donk and a little faster. Then you have donk in hard dance which is another story altogether.
