  • this was sutch a sad pathetic loss by zizi... he had the whole map. good use of plague/swarm/ensanare/ and like jk3 said a big orange carpet of swarm and a good ling/ultra rush-in wouldve just won it

  • not smart play by Zizi. Idra had 1 last army and all Zizi had to do was PLAGUE it all and GG but he decided to throw away units to tank splash.

  • Zizi needed some mineral harass for that top right base... maybe another drop amassed from the left side of the map... but he didn't. also he could have just gathered up all his ultras and lings to larger numbers and pushed in more effectively. small groups were ineffective

  • guess that is what happens if you ignore the strategy in RTS ;D

  • I feel like Zizi had really bad swarm usage late in that game. He wasn't under a lot of pressure, so he could have made a dark swarm path that lead into the base, would have saved a ton of units, and I think been decisive.

    6 or 7 defilers would normally be overkill, but in that position laying down a carpet of orange would have been so much smarter than rushing in against 20 tanks and casting swarm when your survivors arrive. A couple plagues on top wouldn't hurt either.

  • i like how they zerg pissed away the game for the last 15 min by throwing away ultras and defilers..

    goddamnit, I am tired of seeing Zerg win against terran! I thought I was finally going to see a zerg win, how wrong I was.

  • Idra fighting! Well done, incredible comeback with the flawless defense by Idra against an implacable zerg. This had to be one of the best SC commentaries to date, Vaul! Keep em coming!

  • the terran holed in too much he should have gotten alot of scourgas and stopped wasting units in on attack after attack hit the tanks while they are in transition of becoming seiged wait for terran to move out in my opinion would be better because guardians are slow a radiated guardian does damage to those around it spawn broodlings would also have helped against those tanks

  • A little precision spawn broodling from like, just six queens or so would've turned the tide, I think.

  • SB works on tanks, right? If so, would have taken out several tanks, while also making "broodling bombs". That would have been an awesome play! If it doesn't work on tanks though, I don't think it would have been quite effective enough.

  • Well I don't think it works on gatherer units, but if it works on the rest it would have kicked ass.

  • Only thing spawn broodling doesn't work on is probes, since they're pure robots, but it works on SCVs, drones, dragoons, goliaths, tanks, archons, ultras, anything with a pilot or driver or biologic element. You'd think zerg players would always make at least a few, but there are just so many production choices...I suppose you have to choose your strat and push it, but when that's not working it becomes time to mix it up a little...talkin' to you, there DreamZizi...

  • broodling does not work on robotic units or archons, ie archon. dark archon, reaver or probes. It works on all other ground units

  • Zerg needed to switch to guardians earlier (like after about 25-30min), when it was clear that the tanks were too much of a match for his ultras. By the time he did get them, he was low on gas and also failed to cover them with lings/lurkers/ultra or separate them when irradiated.

    Good to see restoration being used - it's excellent TvZ. Healing 300 HP of damage on a marine (over time) takes 150 energy whereas restore is only 50.
