In this movie called Longitude, Stephen Fry plays a bit character who believes in the animalistic, sympathetic telepathy thing and tries to submit it as a method for ships at sea to calculate longitude. Except his involved a dog being stabbed with a knife having a connection to the knife itself, instead of snails who have mated. Anyway, just thought the connection was amusing.
Phil insults the guests of "Call my Bluff", but it and QI share 5 guests. (Jeremy Clarkson, Sandi Toksvig, Dave Gorman, Barry Cryer and Fred MacAulay)
What about the alarm clock that you put £10 in the night before and set it on the table on the other side of the room. The clock if effectively a super-slow paper shredder that kicks in at your predefined time.
It never ceases to amaze me how people can can get into an argument on you tube over even the most harmless of subjects. On this particular occasion, it involves someone who has taken the catchphrase of a fictional American 'genius' as a moniker. Freedom of speech is a good thing, but, it should be submitted to an anti - psuedo intellectual committee who decides whether the rest of us have to be subjected to it.
@stainglassfox I'm really pissed off because I was just getting into mock the week and was on series 8 or something when the account was terminated :(
I have never been a fan of Piers Morgan, but can someone explain to me the ongoing hostility that is a common thread throughout many QI episodes where they slam Piers? Is he in some ways more of a dick than we the general public who don't really know him already think he is? Is there more to his "dickness?"
@Merrida100 He used to run a newspaper in England and really used to hassle and harass celebrities to get stories. He's an ass hole too. Weird he's doing well in america though. Work with 'the sun' then 'news of the world' and the daily mirror, two pretty local class tabloid newspapers. Most famous people hate him.
goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood evening good evening, XD
haha that alarm clock hiding thing would work and it'd wake the neighbours up as well...cos after half an hour you'd yell 'I'M UP NOW!!!! NOW SHUT UP!!!'

I have an alarm clock called "clocky". It's on wheels and after I hit snooze, it jumps off the table and rolls away and hides. It's especially a pain in the butt when it rolls under the bed and I have to get up and MOVE THE BED to retrieve it. Best $10 ever spent!!!
@NoWitnessesNoRegrets there is thoeries of animals having some form of psycological connection like how all birds learned how to sit of electric wires and some apps on island wash everying they eat in sea water but that man just pulled it out of his ass his hypothsis more like fails on so many levels 1coincedering snails even have thoughts 2 whetheir they would affect movement and 3 males have more then on partner so will he have the thought of 1 to 100 women in his head?
@NoWitnessesNoRegrets essentially mad man's hypothesis animal show psycological comuncation i which they seen to all learn at the same time like for birds learn to sit on electric wire. But this mans hypothsis would be saying snails have thoughts like humans which they don't whetheir they think at all is questionably plus the fact a male snail has many sexual partners opening the possability that they hear multiple thoughts and last how does this affect their movement .soz dyslexic
One point about the show: sugar doesn't cause hyperactivity, however every other artificial additive in sweets does, food coloring, taste enhancers, etc basically are nerve gas. An adult is barely affected by these but kids are more vulnerable.
communicating over long distances with snails is just like what they do in One Piece! I wonder if this history inspired that...(probably not but one can dream)
I'm fairly certain that the clock that donates to a political cause you hate is a hoax.

@molegoddess James May on a "Man Lab" episode tried that (well minus the stabbing) as a means of navigating. It was rubbish. :)
TomFynn 2 weeks ago
@TomFynn James May is a rubbish navigator at the best of times, though, so that doesn't necessarily disprove the method. ;)

@molegoddess Well, he wasn't Captain of that particular boat, so we can conclude it was the method :)

Frankly, I could tell who wrote what just by seeing what they wrote down.
A is Phil, because few people whine that grumpily about Fry.

D is Andy just by process of elimination.
