You can convert Wii Isos to wbfs fileformat which reduces the size of the game backup (iso).

How can a Wii game be 1-2 GB if the capacity of the disk it's on is 8.54 GB Dual layered? ( 4.7 Single layer ) A Gamecube disk is 1.5 GB.

Developers don't always uses the entire disk.They something use dummy(fake) data to fill up disk to improve load times make it harder to pirate these games.

wow great dude. i have an external 500 gb hdd but i think its better as you can take it off your wii and add/remove wii games from it, unlike your, you may pu tcertain number of games only then attach it to your wii,anyways gl

if i already installed ios35 to hack my wii in the first place. and i use Custom IOS36 rev 09 will this ruin my wii or are they different?

so far there is no video with details on what version did you need to have and such.
