good mix. i like it but there are moments with more drum elements for the beat and trance should use less drum elements than detroit techno and even chicago house - the main genres that made first trance form classic trance. and though the tracks in this mix are not classic trance but some styles of trance, every trance style uses simple beats except for nitzhonot and tech trance.

yah i agree. trance was at it's best in 2001!! even tiesto played better tracks back then with Ferry Corsten in their partnership Gouryella. nowadays, trance musik isn't as good ast it use to be.

Thanks for the comment. As you can see there is a Vestax 4 Channel in the middle of the setup did a fair bit of 3 and 4 source mixing as you can see from other videos. The fiddling is a force of habit I cant just stand around and do nothing, and i'm not trying to create the illusion that I am doing something. It's something I do whether I record a video or not I just cant really help it, I suppose to my ears I am making small adjustments, except pushing on the faders is just a plain bad habit.

Almost like I am triple checking everything as I go, making sure that the lows, mids, and highs are where they should be even though they already are. or maybe making small adjustments that only you notice. When you are in the zone, you hear it all and your body does what it does.

I disagree when you say trance was at its peak in 1999/2000, it was actually the time I started listening to trance and house music.. Armin van Buuren is still doing it, Tiesto might have gone a little commercial at times.. but trance is still very much alive. Just check out Healesville sanctuary Roger Shah or Gaia Tuvan. Of course there is plenty more artists than jus the famous ones, so if you spend a little time im sure you will find some amazing tunes out there (that is not from 1999)..

Others have said the same, it wasnt really planned it was just a case of sticking on the camera and seeing what happened and those were the tracks I went with, these were the ones that stuck in my head from the early 2000's. Cheers for watching!
