New sub here, really enjoy your videos! I saw this very spray guy at HF here in Atlanta (Lilburn) for $25, and I'm thinking using spray instead of brush to refinish my deck. Do you think this would work on oil based deck stain? (I've never spray painted....) I've got a compressor that meets the pressure requirements of this spray gun and I think it would say a lot of time getting the deck refinished.
@rlewis1946 Thanks for subscribing! You probably could paint a deck stain with it but it might need to be thinned out. Of course it may turn into a one time use of the gun.
Hey again Guys! I thought you guys might enjoy this vid (my first) I used a lot of Harbor Freight stuff. I forgot to put on the vid, that I used this $9 spray gun to spray the black paint on the trailer I modified! enjoy!......gotta' click on "MrHarborFreight" then click on the "Utility Trailer Project".....sorry for no music!
oops.4got. I use this gun (yes another gun! have about 10!) to spray latex house paint (diluted w/ water) great for moulding, door frames, dressers, etc. by the way the two knobs on the gun function as "amount of paint to air ratio" the more you turn knob, the more paint sprays out with air. The other knob is for "fan" spray. turn knob one direction it sprays tight circular pattern, another direction sprays a very wide pattern! it sprays almost as well as my $600 binks gun! hopes this helps!
@MrHarborFreight Thanks for this comment. I used mine the other day to paint some shutters on my house. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the spray pattern. It seemed to shoot out in a close circular pattern instead of a fan pattern. I was too lazy to try to figure it out and I lost the manual.
Hey guys, just wanted to give a little input. great overview by the way. As you can see by my username, I am a Harbor Freight fanatic....(smile). I have the same paint gun (actually several). I use it to spray clear coat and it works great! I also use it to spray primer (different gun, same item #). I have one dedicated to primer and one dedicated to clear.
I also do custom wood working and use it to spray my topcoat (laquer, polyeurathane, etc.) diluted to instructions on container. $10 !
Harbor Freight is one hell of a store practically every tool I have comes from there including my paint gun...i sprayed my whole truck with primer with the same spray gun worked pretty good for the price.
Yea! Harbor Freight! I still have plenty of HF in my toolbox, decent stuff. Id love to spray some clear coat on my cars bumpers, its flaking away. Definitely do a review Johnny, good stuff.
@Johnnysshop :D No worries bud, just figured I'd letcha know in case you didnt know :)
One word of advice though, when you use it and you clean it make sure it's SPOTLESS because whatever you leave in it will spray out next time, or worse clog it up. Just a word from experience.

@MrHarborFreight
Hey quick question i sprayed some pre cat lacquer out of that gun and it dissolved the seal on the fluid tip. . .
have you had any problems like that? Should i have swithed it first to a more "industrial" type?
