So the villain is a powerful individual who must enslave real musicians to enable rip-off artists to thrive. Hmmm. Why does that seem to have a parallel in the real world?
@summeralicia I saw She-ra yesterday! but i soooooo want this one re-released, but i think i know why they won't. All the CopyRight music they used. laws were a tad different then :( But I'm gonna hope REALLY REALLY HARD!!
The intention was good. The band sucked but it's all about the corporate industrie killing and selling out the music and creative artists. Unfortunatly, people like Lady gaga are still sucking the fat corporate cock...
If they were to make a updated version of this cartoon today. Lady Gaga would be the main villian and Master Blaster would be her dumb ass sidekick and some nameless rock band would be the good guys and it would have a real more world feel to it.. Let's face it Lady GaGa is the number one music performer in the world right now wether people like it or not, so it would make sense for her to be the main villian if they made a updated Kidd Video cartoon today.
I was surprised to see this here. I definitely remember it and the episodes. I just couldn't remember the title of the show, I searched Master Blaster and found this, Great post!!! Thanks
@KaySkywalker I remember it vaguely. It wasn't the show I waited all week for, but now it definitely brings back memories. I especially love the music.
this was a cool cartoon back in the day. my sister used too drive me crazy with my little pony. i knew i would be hooked on this cartoon because it had played the same songs you would hear at the roller skating rink. loved the 80's and thanks for posting.
Thank you so much for sharing this. This cartoon was one of my faveorites of all time and it is so awesome to see it again. Brings back good memories.
They couldn't do thie these days. The music is too crappy and artists are too money hungry to let their stuff be used without charging an arm and a leg.
@NSUDemonchipmunk The truth is NBC owned most if not all of the music on this show. The thing is they MTV was a new cool thing, and execs weren't afraid to try something new and fun. This will always be one of my favorite shows. I still have a few tapes of it at home.
Would anybody think I was crazy if I said this cartoon was an updated yet junior version of Beatles Yellow Submarine. The scenery looks a heck of alot like it, especially when the ram that bubble with that pole. When this cartoon was running I had not yet seen Yellow Submarine, but now that I have, and seeing this on Youtube they seem rather similar. Any body familiar with Yellow Submarine would probably agree, yes/no?
So... and evil controller of cats who flies around in a giant jukebox/spaceship has sped up time on Electric Avenue AND trapped Lionel Richie in a magic bubble.
"What did that talking mosquito say she was gonna do? What the hell? My TOYOTA! It looks like a semi shaped like a tiger on acid! And the road has a roller coaster loop scarier than Busch Gardens' SHIEK-RA! Why oh why didn't we run when the MIRROR started talking instead of grouping up into one clustered target?"
Girl: You wet your panties Blueberry Muffin!
Doll: Yes, now please quit touching me there.

7:04 So here I was thinking of how much more innocent commercials were back then...but -
8:05 Blood...blood...blood...
They probably couldn't do that for kids today. Parents would protest.

@ChaosSun1976 Yeah, I think the only way to get these on DVD is to go to a comic book convention and buy a bootlegged copy.

Make cable tv and all other tv free of charge in order so that everyone can afford to watch it, then everyone will be able to watch Kidd Video!

Not as speechless as no one saying this:
