But the problem for alarmists is there was the Medieval Warming Period (MWP) where temps were HIGHER than today while having lower CO2 levels. Modern warming is well within natural variations and no one else has been able to disprove this. My favorite line in the climategate emails was the line that they had to get rid of the MWP. :)

There is no evidence that WE are directly influencing the planets climate, it's been going on for billions of years.
And saying the rate of change has increased doesn't really prove anything, in the past 4500 years we've had at least 75 major temperature changes, and in 1100BC the temperature was roughly twice that of 2007AD (and since then has been rising and cooling dramatically) which can't have been caused by our TVs or non energy-efficient light bulbs.

Guess you didn't watch the whole vid as there is a section on the MASSIVE reduction in productivity for Spanish farmers - I think you've been miss-informed. Although plants do like more CO2, it rarely causes long term improvments in productivity because as the climate changes it stresses plants more (unlike greenhouses, where you can adjust the other variables such as mositure, nutrient availability and competition with invasive species).
I don't think you understand the issue. Try not be too blinkered about this - global warming means disruption to the entire eco-system. We are tampering with a very complex system. If rising temps really did mean improved yields there would still be downsides. as it happens the probability is that we will have increased droughts as well. As I recall, crops need water don' they? Treat this subject flippantly at your peril.

JonThm get your numbers right, CO2 is 0.037%, yes it's a small amount. Size doesn't always matter, would you eat 0.037% of your body mass in Uranium is not the percentage it's the lethality of the chemical or in the case of the atmosphere it's the "forcing effect".
Uranium is not CO2. Your example is void. There are no triggers in the atmosphere, no sparks or domino effects, it takes a lot to do a little, and it always will.
We do not control the weather. By relasing more CO2, we boost life on Earth! CO2 naturally tacks the climate, it does not force it. Which is why this year will be colder than last!

This is a load of garbage. It is certainly some kind of cyclical variation. Here in sunny Western New York, our weather is growing colder-- repeat-- colder-- repeat-- colder. We did not really even have a summer this year. This has nothing to do with my car or an incandescent light bulb. These commies want to take our cars, our houses-- everything. They will not succeed. b) The COST to change our technology faces the same challenges in Copenhagen (and beyond) as ABOLITION of SLAVERY in the USA. Economically, it was going to cost TOOOO much. It therefore took a WAR. Or, bankrupcy. Lets hope there really will be a middle way.

CO2 saturation of plants can be seen under experiments of doubling and quadrupling of plants conducted in covered plastic chambers. At a certain level of atmospheric CO2, plants reach a limit at which they can process out CO2, and can even begin to act as CO2 sources.

We have technology to produce all our electricity needs using generators that run using magnetic attraction and repulsion. No fuel is needed. We have technology to use water as fuel in every combustible engine and jet airliner. These energy sources emit no CO2 but arent discussed because no money can be looted from free energy. The clever people must help me: If temp rise, that would mean more evaporation. More moisture in the air means more clouds. More clouds means more reflection of solar energy back to space - thus more clouds lead to COOLING. This look like a self regulating system which cycles through hot and cold periods to me ... and we can do nothing against it, except to live with it and prepare for it.

There is no evidence that WE are directly influencing the planets climate, it's been going on for billions of years.
And saying the rate of change has increased doesn't really prove anything, in the past 4500 years we've had at least 75 major temperature changes, and in 1100BC the temperature was roughly twice that of 2007AD (and since then has been rising and cooling dramatically) which can't have been caused by our TVs or non energy-efficient light bulbs.

ok ok it says in the (more info box) that temp rose a stunning .76 degrees hmmmmm interesting i heard some where else that in 2007 (year of global cooling) we lost that temp increase.
another fact thats been proven and we have seen in past by looking at ice core samples that its natural for every 100 years for the temp to go up 1degree C.

Nasa released information a couple of years ago indicating there is a massive body passed pluto. Al Gore made a big deal out of the Northwest Passage opening a few months ago. But he was grossly negligent to not also state that it has been open several times in history--rather, he tried to make it appear some very unusual thing had happened.
So since he promoted a hysteria based idea I think it should be pointed out that, in reality, there is nothing to worry about. The Northwest Passage opening and closing is an event that falls within the boundries of normal occurances in the earth.

Guess you didn't watch the whole vid as there is a section on the MASSIVE reduction in productivity for Spanish farmers - I think you've been miss-informed. Although plants do like more CO2, it rarely causes long term improvments in productivity because as the climate changes it stresses plants more (unlike greenhouses, where you can adjust the other variables such as mositure, nutrient availability and competition with invasive species).

I don't think you understand the issue. Try not be too blinkered about this - global warming means disruption to the entire eco-system. We are tampering with a very complex system. If rising temps really did mean improved yields there would still be downsides. as it happens the probability is that we will have increased droughts as well. As I recall, crops need water don' they? Treat this subject flippantly at your peril.

Even organisation that are non-reliant on funding agree that we are the most likely primary cause of the current warming. Carbon dioxide is just one of many greenhouse gases released by human activities e.g. methane accounts for up to 20% of human produced emissions.

Mars, Saturn & Jupiter are all warming up. There are no fat lazy Americans driving SUVs on any other planet in our solar system.
Interestingly, the Kyoto agreement does not include India & China. In a couple of years China will be the world's heaviset polluter.

I agree, but I'd like to say that there are a lot of other factors apart from the sun that contribute to climate change. Even if human activities were an important factor, the effects of the Kyoto agreement just wouldn't be sufficient to make a difference. Also, a lot of countries that are included in the Kyoto agreement just don't do what it says.

Global warming is happening - fact! Are we causing it? We do not yet know for sure, however just because something may be happening naturally dosent mean we shouldnt try and stop it e.g. should Holland not invest in flood barriers because natural sea levels would flood it?

To assess whether global warming is occuring doesn't need much debate. Just stop and think about the waste heat from energy use. I recon that in the UK alone, waste heat from petrol consumption would be enough to supply the entire energy needs for over 2million homes for a year. We are wasteful, the question is how do we stop being so.

There is 0.0000037% CO2 in the city, in the summer. It cycles wuith season or location. THere was more in the time of the dinosaurs, and there was 60% more life on Earth, and sea levels were 65 meters LOWER.

These videos have been showing for years and still we fill the atmospeare with the tonnes CO2 crap every day. Because we just sit on our arses all day driving cars and wasting electricity nothing is being done and these videos are a waste of time because the whole world will never listen try telling everyone who drives on the M1 to stop driving and telling a coal power station to turn of the power and change to wind power it will never happen face it!
