  • Kewl! Thanks, doing low calorie diet and excersing past 2 months, lots of walking(4-7 miles several times a week)a little jogging, have lost 25 pounds so far, but I need to tone back upper arms(the bat-wing flab). I will try this. I have never ever had a flat stomach, always had the fannypack/pannus even as size 6,(size 10 now) with 3 kids, 2 csections, abdomnl hysterctmy and being over 40, the flat abs will never happen, but do you have a suggestion for the upper inner thighs as well?

  • @akewtipye

Congratulations on your success! Squats are great for thighs. Watch my legs and butt video for more leg exercises.

  • Omg i never realized that instead of waisting money on dumbells i could've just used a textbook from school. :D -_______-

  • I need to ask what sort of beginning a man can take who like me, has only a very little detectible flexation of muscle action can take to begin a fitness programme.

  • I would start with taking several walks a week. Do five or ten minutes and slowly work your way up. Do whatever exercises you can in the videos. Start with light weights or even no weights if you need to.

I would check with a doctor first to make sure it's ok for you to begin exercise. They might even be able to give you some tips.

    Take care.

  • @ArthurNewYork1 just curious.. hows the work out???

  • @ArthurNewYork1 That sentance makes about as much sense as a toenail as a tooth , sort it out

  • will these exersice help get rid of falab but not gain muslce. every excersise i seem to do just adds muscle to my arms instead of getting rid of the flab what should i do?

  • You need to make sure you're eating right and doing some cardio work too. Walking, running, bike riding, hiking,or anything that gets your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes a day or more.

  • i use to be about 200lbs ive made my way down to 135 im lookin to tone the last bit of flab i have i seem to just gain muscle tho and keep the fat . also i dont really have any where to walk bike or hike, any other suggestions? ( i use to rollerblade but i dont have a location to anymore anything fun like that u can think of)

  • Wow, that's quite an accomplishment! Well, the idea is to keep your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes. You could run in place, do jumpingjacks or a compination of the two. They are such large muscles they take more energy to move them. You could squats for sets of 50 and take short breaks. How about run in place for a couple of minutes, slow it down with 50 squats, then a couple minutes of jumping jacks. Just keep rotating through the cycle. You can mix it up too.

  • If I do these exercises for 5 mins perday everyday will I have good results within 4 weeks... My arms are quite chubby, but I do have alot of muscle.. Will It be possible?

  • I would do it three times a week making sure to take a day off inbetween each workout. Please check with a doctor before you start. Also, I have a short, easy to read book for sale on amazon called put the fork down and get movin'. It's pretty much general eating tips to help lose weight and keep it off. If you do all of this you can make a difference in four weeks. Remember it's a total package deal. Eat right, cardio, and resistance training.

  • Loved this video Gary. Thanks!

Just a tip for people who are losing weight and are worried about loose skin.

Do not wait to lose all the weight in order to start exercising. I had 100 pounds to lose and I started exercising as soon as I lost my first 20 pounds. Did it help? Yeah it did! I am 30 pounds away from goal now and I look great.

  • I agree start working out right away. I am glad to hear your fitness plan is working. Keep it up!

  • Thanks but why do some people get surgery

  • There could be several reasons: sometimes when people lose lots of weight really fast their skin loses some of its elasticity and subsequently they will have loose flabby skin, there could be medical reasons, such as thyroid issues that causes people to struggle with weight loss, and sometime people just want the "fast and easy" solution and they don't want to put the work in to lose the weight.

  • how many reps to you suggest doing and many times per week?

  • 2-3 sets of 10-15reps 2 or 3 times a week.

  • Thanks a lot. They're simple but effective.

  • Thank you. These are great. I'm not sure if I can lift myself up to do the first one but I will try.

  • HI GARY...i'M LOOSING WQEIGHT, EXCERCISING and a good diet, i've lost 20 lbs so far but my arms are very flabby (why is one arm worst than the other? I'll try your workouts..thanks!

  • I've been working out my arms and i'm adding muscle on the fat? I need to get my arms thin in one week, what do you suggest? How can i loose the fat and gain the muscle? (instead of adding muscle on fat)

    Thanks =D

  • This is perfect for me - thank you so much.

  • You're welcome. I hope you get the results your looking for.

  • Question: I am already muscled but my arms lack any real definition, they are just big. What do you suggest? Thanks.

  • I don't know what your typical routine is, but I would start or kick up the cardio work a notch. Running, bike riding, power walking, etc. 5 or 6 times a week from 20-60 minutes. Also, really start to watch what you eat.Stick with a low fat diet; stay away from junk food.

It takes time so don't expect to see a change over night.

    I hope this helps,

    gary lannon

  • thanks a lot, this will surely be a great help for my flabby arms.

    xxxx <3

  • will this build too much muscle ?

    I just want to tone.

  • No you won't build too much muscle, this workout is designed for toning. If you find that your triceps are getting bigger than you want them just lighten the weight that your using.

  • Hey thanks! Every time I work my arms, it seems that it's my bicips and shoulders that are primarily doing all the work. So my biceps are great and my triceps... aren't! (yet!)

  • i have broad shoulders and my arms are flabby too..is ok to do this exerise, will it take away the broad shoulders?

  • No it won't take away from your shoulders, but it wouldn't hurt to do some lateral raises (raising your arms straight out to the sides up to shoulder height with weights)to keep it all in proper proportion.

  • If gym instructors made it as simple, and straightforward with the attitude shown here, I'd go 10 times a day!

    Brilliant!

  • Thanks, spread the word.

  • easy to do at hoem and convinent thank you

  • Thanks thats very helpful ^^

  • Thank you!

  • wow v guud... to the point and effective..

  • Keep It up! I like it, nice and simple
