  • masonic book of mormons is FALSE REVELATION of fallen angel lucifer

  • Why does Shawn (and other critics) refer to the Book of Mormon as a "translation"?

If the BoM is "true" as claimed, as well as the account of it's coming about, the LDS story is that God gave Joseph Smith the individual words, word for word, IN ENGLISH, for the BoM. THAT'S known as a dictation, NOT a "translation".

  • @42apostate It's my opinion that, since it's a tactful approach to refer to the BoM as a "translation" when pointing out the problems of the BoM to LDS that it has become a habit of BoM critics to use the word "translation". It bothers me, too.

  • @eeikman

    I'm sure your right.

Since I'm not very tactful when it comes to LDS promoting their tripe, I'll call them on it. To me it's yet another case of Mormon-speak--ie. giving LDS meaning (translations, if you will) to words that society generally doesn't accept as accurate.

  • Moroni wasn't the only "angel" that Joesph Smith saw secretly on a regular basis (nudge nudge, wink wink).

  • @eeikman How many "Angels" visited joey? Moroni, 22 documented, (Ensign, Jan. 1992, 22–29) James, Peter, John the Baptist, Nephi, maybe, who else?

  • @r8rfanizme

Question: How many Mormon angels can fit on the head of a pinhead...uh...pin?

Answer: If it tends to embellishes their stories, it will be as many as they damn well want. ;)

  • @42apostate Since Mormons don't believe angels have wings, the angels slip off and hit the floor. :)

  • @42apostate How many Mormon angels can fit on the head of a pinhead?

the number of times you tell the story X 3

  • @eeikman excellent, dude.... whaddya bet joey woulda had fun giggling uproariously with the monty python nudge, nudge, wink, wink perv on a park bench somewhere?

  • @bsl103158 I can picture it now. :)

  • @eeikman It seems mere child's play!

("Your wife! (insert "wives" here.."Is she a goer??(are they?) nudge wink Is she?"(are they? are they?)Know what I mean?" --btw, eeik, did you hear very latest?-warren jeffs' bro(who reportedly loves "adult" materials) held hand of 100's of flds over past weeks to detect lies when asked?'s to check loyalty to warren(=personal worthiness.)1. "Are your thoughts always pure?" 2. "Are you continuing prayers in all you do?" Touching and so pious, yes?

  • @bsl103158 Oh, that holding the hand is an old fortune teller's trick. A skilled palmist can ask leading questions and get feedback from the victim's pulse rate. Looks like Warren is practicing magic just like ol' Joe.

  • @eeikman Thanks for the tidbits on the morm-foolery! I mean, joefoolery! My pulse quickens when I hear such tasty fodder!

  • @eeikman Between Shawn, you, and all the other folks exposing the foolery these days, I do not have to be bored! I can just comb youtube and other sources for all the juicy stuff by which I remain fascinated, old hag that I am! Later, bro!

  • I'm pretty sure Ethan Smith and Solomon Spaulding were roommates at Dartmouth. "View of..." was not a unique book. It was a book as old as Columbus. Spaniards had the stories/questions, the English, French, etc. as soon as the round world was understood. I posted "American Antiquities and Discoveries in the West" 1830. Same stuff as E Smith. And over 30 pages of correspondence with Champollion, The Hieroglyph guy. Too bad Joe didn't know. 25,000 copies were sold by 1837.

  • I mention Heart of the Matter at times when I comment online with articles which report on fundamentalist mormon activity, since it's all mostly traceable to "Joe+ Brig." I want people to know about HOTM so they can watch, email, call in, etc. I have never been lds so there's only so much I can say factually besides referring people to those who know lds much better than myself. Very nice- keep up the good work.

  • I have truly enjoyed this series! All the answers to how JS could have come up with the variety of fantasies in BOM...He blatantly lifted from work of acquaintances who published materials, who were right there in his vicinity and that he is known to have rubbed elbows with. Then threw in this and that idea, wording style, and actual phrase from King James Bible,(+the surreal threat "from God" using Emma's name so lil' old J could jump other babes)--"mystery" of BOM finally and easily solved.

  • Re:the part about men being boys in grown-up bodies... I ain't a guy, but I've been around a couple years...and I think we gals are little girls inside throughout life...Not that it bears on the video, but now that ya mentioned such things...

  • He liked to..CON-vince them.."..hehehe
