I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil, and have been since the first game came out on Playstation back in the 90's. To me, it doesn't really matter if its a rail shooter or a real remake with classic Resident Evil controls, I like them both. As long as I get a remake of some kind, with updated grafics, Im happy haha =)
@LaNekra Hahaha that's actually a tough one to answer...I LOVE resident evil's plot. It's truly remarkable and Claire and Leon are my favorite characters yet I have played Dead Space so many times I got a 100% trophy rating (for PS3). Dead spaces plot is also INCREDIBLE and I watched the movie a couple times! Can't say I'm huge in ridiculous sci fi games but Dead Space is the exception. Which is better? Jeez idk bro....both are amazing in their own ways.
This game is basicly one of those plastic gun shooting at the screen games you would find at a arcade or movie theater lobby they tried to sum up resident evil 2 and code veronica, they also added some crap with leon and kruaser that i had no idea what the fuck was going on it must have been somewhere between resident evil 2 and 4. i dont understand why they would add that why not just completly remake resident evil 2 or code veronica with the arcade shooting
Honestly Capcom should've just did a REmake of RE2 like they did with the original Resident Evil. Im dying to go back to the roots instead off all this over-the-shoulder crap.
@BARNEYisGHEY the best when it comes to 1st person shooters if you havent bought call of duty modern warfare yet get it and you see why it even more fun on the wii then any other system sensor bar out maneuver anolog easily i recommend play re4 on the wii as well when it come to shooters wii wins hands down
No. This like a regular shooter game that you would see in an arcade. Instead of looking at it as a remake of Resident Evil 2, it's really one of the levels or stages you must complete. The levels consist of events from "Resident Evil 2", "Resident Evil Code Veronica", "Operation Javier", which is a mission with Leon and Krauser when they were partners, and lastly "Krauser's Hidden Story", which is the same mission between Leon and Krauser, but from Krauser's perspective instead.
i dont like how the fact that u cant see ur character and u just aim at stuff and shoot. it should be a third person shooter like the other ones were but theyre to lazy now and making it like a retarded arcade shooter.

@Corvus2650 I wouldnt say Resistants is original tbh...and Metal gear solid games are based off the Metal gear games that came out for the Nes...which is a retro console :) I admit there are a few games that are very nice of today that i play. But overall i just feel the gaming market has changed for the worse. Players these days just want graphics and nothing else.
@Johfunu Oh yeah and as for games like Halo etc...these games are only around due to the awesome sucess of such games like Doom, Wolfenstein 3d, Duke nukem and maybe Dues ex maybe even Half life, all of which are sorta old/retro games. Games like Halo didnt impress me as iv'e seen it all before. Same type of game but with a different skin and thats all games are now.

Try something different, like Braid, or Portal -- for that matter, anything released by Valve. There are still game companies making new and innovative games, but sadly it seems that good games don't sell as well as they used to.

I don't care much about the remake thing. I liked RE:CV, if only because the knife was finally worth something (if you wait until the zombie is about to grab you, and slash at his feet, it just about cuts him in half)!
This looks great, and if its a remake at least it looks like a good one.
I'm highly disappointed that the Wii is surviving off from selling remakes after remakes of old franchise. It has minimum to no new game stories at all and some of the new ones aren't even that great.
NO more heroes 2, red steel 2, monster hunter 3, the grinder, call of duty treyarch project, gladiator ad, tatsunoko vs capcom, pikmin 3, metroid other m, super mario galaxy 2, legeng of zelda wii, and more.
NO game i listed was a remake idiot. the were all sequels. A remake is a game that was already out on the system or a previous system the put on to (place system name here).
You're only re-enforcing my point that the wii has a tremendous lack of original games. I was using the word remake to include remakes, sequels, and ripoffs.
The point is that nintendo hasn't made a good original game in quite some time. Name 10 games that have gotten above a 9.0 that haven't included a character thats been in nintendo's lineup for more than 3 years. You can't because there isn't.

@LaNekra Hahaha that's actually a tough one to answer...I LOVE resident evil's plot. It's truly remarkable and Claire and Leon are my favorite characters yet I have played Dead Space so many times I got a 100% trophy rating (for PS3). Dead spaces plot is also INCREDIBLE and I watched the movie a couple times! Can't say I'm huge in ridiculous sci fi games but Dead Space is the exception. Which is better? Jeez idk bro....both are amazing in their own ways.

This game is basicly one of those plastic gun shooting at the screen games you would find at a arcade or movie theater lobby they tried to sum up resident evil 2 and code veronica, they also added some crap with leon and kruaser that i had no idea what the fuck was going on it must have been somewhere between resident evil 2 and 4. i dont understand why they would add that why not just completly remake resident evil 2 or code veronica with the arcade shooting

Imo they really took the franchise WAY too far.
In Resident Evil 5, I was totally lost, as to what the storyline was about, and what it had to do with the first games.
Cuz Resident Evil 1 and 2 were brilliant. Everything after that was, meh....

@BARNEYisGHEY the best when it comes to 1st person shooters if you havent bought call of duty modern warfare yet get it and you see why it even more fun on the wii then any other system sensor bar out maneuver anolog easily i recommend play re4 on the wii as well when it come to shooters wii wins hands down

No. This like a regular shooter game that you would see in an arcade. Instead of looking at it as a remake of Resident Evil 2, it's really one of the levels or stages you must complete. The levels consist of events from "Resident Evil 2", "Resident Evil Code Veronica", "Operation Javier", which is a mission with Leon and Krauser when they were partners, and lastly "Krauser's Hidden Story", which is the same mission between Leon and Krauser, but from Krauser's perspective instead.

@Corvus2650 I wouldnt say Resistants is original tbh...and Metal gear solid games are based off the Metal gear games that came out for the Nes...which is a retro console :) I admit there are a few games that are very nice of today that i play. But overall i just feel the gaming market has changed for the worse. Players these days just want graphics and nothing else.

@Johfunu Oh yeah and as for games like Halo etc...these games are only around due to the awesome sucess of such games like Doom, Wolfenstein 3d, Duke nukem and maybe Dues ex maybe even Half life, all of which are sorta old/retro games. Games like Halo didnt impress me as iv'e seen it all before. Same type of game but with a different skin and thats all games are now.

Try something different, like Braid, or Portal -- for that matter, anything released by Valve. There are still game companies making new and innovative games, but sadly it seems that good games don't sell as well as they used to.

I don't care much about the remake thing. I liked RE:CV, if only because the knife was finally worth something (if you wait until the zombie is about to grab you, and slash at his feet, it just about cuts him in half)!

I'm highly disappointed that the Wii is surviving off from selling remakes after remakes of old franchise. It has minimum to no new game stories at all and some of the new ones aren't even that great.

You're only re-enforcing my point that the wii has a tremendous lack of original games. I was using the word remake to include remakes, sequels, and ripoffs.
The point is that nintendo hasn't made a good original game in quite some time. Name 10 games that have gotten above a 9.0 that haven't included a character thats been in nintendo's lineup for more than 3 years. You can't because there isn't.
There is no originality in nintendo anymore.
