  • @60otaku3 i am 21 now xD and loving techno in all diffrent ways.... but i would give everything to be born 45 years earler and live the 60's in my early 20's the musik is so epic... and i can't talk about lifestyle and about the world as such cause i was born in 1990 but the musik is rly rly good

  • Los Bravos...los maravilloso musiqueros espanoles!!!

  • Loved this!

  • the intro instrumental to this song is off the chain..will always remember it..and true..it does sound like gene pitney(town without pity) Oh the memories of the 60s..Send me back Oh Lord Please!

  • The One and Only Spanish Group to top the music chart ever !!!!!!!

  • @TheFiredragon52 Ole!!!

  • @TheFiredragon52 "Yes Sir I can Boogie" and "Macarena" was also Spaniard tracks!!!

  • @TheFiredragon52 theres a lot more but not as good as this one

  • @Firedragon: Ritchie Valens, a Mexican-American, was a huge hit. Sam the Sham and Trini Lopez were just as successful if not more so.

Back when all popular music was played on only one or two stations, there were many groups from Mexico as well as Central and South America. Stations began to segregate in the late 1960s when Spanish-speaking communities grew strong enough to create stations whose programming was entirely in Spanish. *Billboard* followed suit with separate charts.

  • This is such a total classic. And it's a good and fun song for beginning musicians. It has the basics and standards of playing rock music upon which you can build. A lot of those 45 vinyls from the fifties and sixties are useful for learning to play rock music.

  • Singer sounds like Gene Pitney......

  • Another great 60's tune. Thanks for the upload. I see you have posted a number of other tunes I have listened to, thanks for the uploads.

    Otaku3 (*^_^)/

  • Nice song.

  • Mike Kogel was born Michael Volker Kogel, in Berlin 25 April 1945.

    lead singer of Los Bravos.

Song made number 1 in uk and 4 in the usa (first spanish band every to do this)

  • I think that Los Bravos was a Spanish Band.

  • mike kogel is mike kennedy, they are the same person

  • @nutsaboutclara

If you read what I wrote, it says "back to 1967 when I first heard this song". I made no claims about when the song came out. It could have come out in 1930 for all I knew. I was a very young child, and 1967 was MY first time to hear it. Glad to know that extra little piece of trivia about it being released in 1966. I will use it at my next cocktail party, as chit chat over Martinis.

  • Great song!! The lead singer's name is Michael Kogel, born in Berlin, Germany in 1945

  • 45 years old and still sounds great!!

  • i love this song too bad todays music isn't like this

  • loooove it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • spain people could make this, and they could make the acarena. ESPAÑA MOLA!!

  • Was Mike Kennedy in this band?

  • Mike Kennedy??

There is not such a person in this band.

    ...Otaku3 (^_^;)

  • @60otaku3 Mike Kennedy is the singer in this band!!!!

  • Los Bravos' lead singer is Mike Kogel.

    ...Otaku3

  • @60otaku3 Yes, that's his real name, but he became known under the stage name of Mike Kennedy.

  • I LOOOOOOVE THIS SONG, HELLO FROM SPAIN :)

  • I'm using this song the next time I order ribs.

  • I'm 18 and I was born in 1993 and listening to this sort of music but I prefer this sort of the music and the 80's to be honest instead of the modern music out now lol :)

  • @Sharna1993xoxo : I'm from 1993 too, but in December 30 I will be 18,

I dont like modern music is so electro, has so many electric sounds.

Here at Mexico the readio has so much Twist, tha's good.

  • @Sharna1993xoxo right there with ya.

  • @Sharna Yesss! The problem with post-'80s is many songs have just one part, repeating over and over. ARGH! Before, almost all music had verse and chorus, verse and chorus, etc. Don't get me wrong: much of today's music is good and the "olden days" did have its junk. They just never play it.

There's a site called Reel Radio. They trade radio DJ auditions and shows. My guests might hear, "How about some Gary Owens radio from 1959?" A lot of music never makes the oldies stations!

  • @Sharna1993xoxo Time is a filter for music, there were also bad songs then, but either the most remarcable ones or the best ones remain. There are some good songs now, and I hope the time filter helps to keep them and eliminate the bad ones, which proportion has however increased thanks to tech that allows anyone to sing xD

  • thanks mom and dad for allowing me to love classics like these and so many others!

  • wow i'm hearing this song after 10 years. never thought i'd ever find it !

  • Oldies are the only music that matters...

  • Yes, I also think that oldies are more important than the latest pop music.

    Otaku3 (^_^)b

  • Good stuff. Big thanks from all of us old farts who the first time they heard these kind of songs, they were newey`s, not oldies.
