iphone 3g 2.2 firmware downgrade question turbo sim on windows

I'm so stupid I'm so stupid, I screwed up lastnight... I got to the last step all i had to do is press option and click restore to custom 2.1, I did NOT read that part, and i thought it's not possible so i restored to 2.2.....................FUCK ME

If you upgraded to 2.2 now you have to get a new turbo sim that supports the 2.2 update ...

if you would like because most the the places that now sell the new turbo sims are charging $40-$50 per sim i made an order from china straight from the manufactures and i am selling the new sims for $27 .

dude, i just bought 2 iphone 3Gs that came with the 2.2 firmware aka 2.28.00 BASEBAND (you got the firmware and the modem baseband mixed up). You can downgrade the firmware with ease but the baseband is only upgradable and will not downgrade as you downgrade your firmware. They have solutions for earlier iPhones to "delete the baseband" then flash it with w/e baseband you want. I am trying to find such a solution now since I have about 8 TurboSims that will otherwise go to waste :(

dude you talk a lot i just read the titles and is what i did. I have my iphone 3g it came with turbo sim, i upgraded it to 2.2 via itunes and now my calls don't work..what have u found? the only solution is to ge that new turbo sim??? or there is another possibility

Since the 2.2 update i have been spening about 1 hour a day on research to best solve the problem... so far the only way to unlock your phone now is to get a new v3 turbo sim the works on the 2.28.00 bace

I will put a link for you on the right hand side of the vid so you can get your new turbo sim .. i just ordered one 2 days ago.

If you do that then your Turbo sim still wont work and you will need to get a new turbo sim ,,, if you would like to knwo more about what i did to solve my problem you can take a look at my newer vid's

yep, ask me...I learned my lesson, I will never ever be too lazy to read instruction..only the last step, If I would've read it it would've been ok, but hey at least you said there is a sim for it, my firmware version is 2.1, but the baseband have been updated to 3G. so my unlock sim doesn't work..please help me sir

If you upgraded your baseband it makes no dissents what firmware version you are running ,, you need the new 2.2 turbo sim ,,, i am selling them for $27 and will have my order on Sunday from china ,,, if you would like to place an order please check out one or my latter vids ,, and do not order from any-networks ,,, they do not reply to there emails ! !

Hi yes you can downgrade the FIRMWARE with ease but Dont bother as the DAMAGE is already done the new firmware 2.2 has changed your BASEBAND so you will never be able to use your old TURBO SIM so your phone is scrap until they find a new Turbo Sim. But its ok as you can still listen to music and watch videos ;-0

Im not sure were your from but in England 02 have now released pay as you go sim for the iphone that cost £10. Would you not consider this as a cheaper option instead of replaceing a Turbo sim each time you upgrade or even getting any 02 contract. Iv seen some for as little as £20 per month would this not be a better way than paying £30 each time for somthing that may or may not last 12 months. I would shop around first before parting with me cash ;-)

I understand your pain. Yes you can downgrade it no problem, but the question is once you down grade could you still be able to use your Turbo Sim and use the phone on any network? if you do find the answer to this question please let me know.

well some places in china came out with a new terbo sim that will work with 2.2 .. and i am ordering one now.

The Turbo sim is still in Beta for unlocking the 2.2 - if i want i can get one of the beta sims for $35 for China...

I am thinking to wait 1 more week befor i make an order (if you want i can put a list together of intrested ppl who want a new Torbo Sim and i might be able to make a bulk order and save some cash...

you can't downgrade the baseband from 2.2 to 2.1 or something else. I have the same problem and I think we have to wait for new TurboSims.

Yes you Can downgrade.

1. click start button

2. in start search type

C:\Users\your account name goes here\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

3. look 2.1 firmware here then copy and paste to desktop

4. go into itunes click shift and restore and go to your desktop click on your 2.1 firmware and it should work it did for me

or you could just search here at youtube on how to downgrade 2.0 firmware to 1.1.4 i think it would just use the same process. i really hope that this would help

im not so sure if this is gonna help but i think that downgrading is possible even without the pwnage tool, try to look and download the firmware 2.1 for iphone on google place it on your desktop. open itunes, put your iphone in recovery mode, once in recovery mode hit shift key on your keyboard and the restore button on itunes a window would pop up and you could go look for the firmware 2.1 youve just downloaded and then i think it would restore your iphone back to 2.1
