  • Are You Member Of DevaiantART?

  • hey what is the program?

  • adobe photoshop...

  • Photoshop CS2

  • Question, fine sir...Everytime I lay down the paint and then accidentally go over it, it makes it another dark color which makes me have to redo everythign again. Is there a way around that?

  • awesome!

  • SOS UN MAESTRO!!!!!

  • Wow! Y'know, I'm coloring my comic/animatic right now, but it feels like I'm taking too long. How much time do you usually spend on an issue?

  • it varies

typically it'll take me anywhere from 2-4 hours a page [but again..it varies depending on the complexity of the page. some go by much quicker while others taking much longer]

  • can you do a tutorial showing some steps to doing layering

  • Pal, I can tell that was truly professional. Any website or link to this image?

  • is this the same as your other vid? any way nice job, post more vids

  • yeah its the same one only one has music playin with it and one dont. i didnt delete one cuz it had a bunch of comments on it :P

    but thanks!

i most definatley would love to make some more. just gotta find the time and the right pic :D

  • ah hm u shud do a person in the next one, i wanna see how you do skin/clothing hehe. freakin mean vid anyway ive watched it like 5 times lol

  • I love the music! :O ow i love the artwork 2 :D!

God bless yu & yur art ;)

  • thanks!

  • program name?pls

  • This is done in Photoshop CS

  • This is awesome man - Can I ask a question though? When you use brush tool in the video, you're often just holding it at a spot and then a straight line from the last spot appears - This is probably a PS function that I don't know of, so... How do you do it? Thanks a lot for an awesome post

  • its easy

when you're in brush mode try clicking in one spot. your starting point. hold down the shift key and click in another point, and a straight line will be made from the spots you've clicked. really easy to do :D

  • Awesome - seemed easy! Thanks ^^

  • Almost liked the song....

    until the vocals started...

  • I like the choice of music,

  • Nice...

  • hey man, great job! i just don't get one thing

at the instant 3:04 you can make a degrade, but you wo it withou changing the color... how do you to it? you change the opacity?

one more thing, what values do you use on opacity and flow?

    nice work man!

  • i only mess with the opacity when doing this style of coloring. No real secret to what values i use i guess. just however "thick" i want the color to come out is how much i set the opacity to. usually its 100$, 50%, 30%, or 10%. but you can always do whatever. just feel it out

  • This is great! I am teaching myself to color like this! Watching you helps alot!

  • So at the beginning, did you scan the image in? and then adjust the contrast/brightness?

  • yup

  • did you also use just a transparent paintbrush (50%?)

  • the brush opacity varies when i paint. im always changing it depending on how much or how "thick" i want the color to come out

  • Hmm... I love it how towards the end you delicately use the highlights to bring out the 3d of Prime's head. It's unusual that you don't use white instead- Is there a specific way of using white as a highlight or can you use it wherever? Cause I think I might be doing it wrong...

  • at the very end i add those sharp highlights with a hard round brush, White as my color, and i do it on a new layer thats set to overlay. that way its not straight white but its just a brighter version of the color beneath it

  • nice one, the technique is simple but the outcome is amazing

  • Very nice :) YAY!

  • Respect :)

  • I like how it looks like it was done with markers

  • way to cool i loved it you are soooo good^_^♥♥♥♥

  • Very neat vid. Your skills suprise me. 5/5

  • This video has been very instructional... or however it is spelled. :P I have to practive coloring in PS because Paintbrush is so archaic, yet is the only one I can manage right now.

  • nice!

  • This video is sped up, right? Cause if not, you have some inhuman Photoshop skills.
