3rd album!? dammit... i heard "no kind of life" some time ago... in his movie... hmmm "awaken" (i think so). I can't find anything on the net... and its actually impossible to buy the cd here in peru lol.
Jumble Sailing is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard for years. My jaw dropped when I saw them play it on Jools a few years back. The album it comes off (Lido) is a blinder too. ;-)
Oh and, without wishing to spam here, they are pretty damn brilliant live also. Outrageous that they've never caught on even in the UK, despite rave reviews whenever they release an album.
Great video, amazing band. I'm glad I named my band after their song. If you enjoy devastatingly beautiful melodies and clever lyrics, BUY THEIR RECORDS NOW.
I love Clearlake but when i talk to my friends about them, they're just like WHO? It's very very annoying. Like this song but for some reason am obsessed by Wonder if the snow will settle.
All three of Clearlake's albums are brilliant. They'll never be big, but fuck that. As long as they keep the songs coming, they'll be remembered more than say Bondo De Role.
One of THE most underrated bands of recent times! Saw them live at the Eastbourne Under Ground in February 2006... really, really poorly attended. I felt very sorry for them! Great gig nonetheless.
Not enough people watching this. Got an earful off the They'll Have To Catch Us First compilation and now I really want the album. I'll find it eventually.
lilting.

Very good, I like it! It's the first time I've heard this, but I know of "Clearlake" through their "Winterlight" single.

no kind of life is the most simple and perfect song i know xD
just two lines of lyrics repeated all the time but it sounds new every time^^
the guitar riffs of "getting light outside" are pretty cool! ;-)

pleasant tune chorus has shades of beatles its getting better...jaunty guitar rock, could do with more strings and keyboard to enhance sound.

It's good to see you
it's been a while
You've had your life
I've had mine
It's good to notice
all the ways we change
But even better
how we stay the same

The best completely unknown band ever. For the last time, Clearlake is not a town in Iowa!

this is SUCH a GREAT BAND!!!!

Their debut LP "Lido" is brilliant. but "Trees In The City", the closing track of their 2nd LP, "Cedars", is the greatest sad song EVER recorded.
THAT good.

Undoubtedly one of the best and most underrated pop songs around, somehow early 60's retro feel to it?
