  • how do u get this?

  • @ByRosay Magic. And lot's of sponsor money.

  • lol love how you fail by using this plane the only point in using a board with tracker points is if you wanted to recreate that using all cg elements and having that camera move in your 3d application

  • @shrimpinpat What?

  • Please,i need help!!!!I am following all the exact steps from your tutorial but always when i press export it says that this format is not supported!!!Any advice???THX Philip

  • @VisuelKing what format are you trying to export as?

  • This is great, thanks for putting this up. I got this version of pf last year and had to just try and figure it out as there wasnt any tutorials online (only for older versions). This video confirmed my workflow was correct but i wasnt sure. Also it is a waaay different programe to the last version. I would like to see a tut on object tracking combined with camera tracking :0)

  • i need help my video files are not showing up! it says that its unsupported flie type. but the thing is its MP4. so i dont know what to do! please help!!

  • @BBHPEffeX Same thing is happening to me as well.

Well not to worry, in fact it's better like this anyways let me explain here.

Usually the process of all this with tracking in 3-D objects first starts off with a image sequence that you upload into your tracking software or video, and then you got the image sequence itself and upload it into your 3-D application of choice so Really it wouldn't make that much of a difference anyways.

  • @Digitaldroplock Basically just make an sequence with any 3-D application of your choice and preferably make it out to an IFF. it should then upload smoothly into PF track 2011.

  • great tutorial man

  • Thank you, dude :)

  • hey nice tut but i dont get it... when i export the file to cinema 4d (lightwave), the camera is not moving... can u help me? greetz HDO

  • @HighDefinitionOptics hmmm, well have you checked your render settings to use an image sequence?

Also, I may have to do with the way it is spaced, for example MVI_DataTest_256.tiff might not work, but MVI.DataTest.256.tiff will.

  • @Digitaldroplock ok thx i will try later :D

  • I laughed at 4:29 when you said "It looks pretty good" but it looks really f*cked up but I guess it was the screen recording program having difficulties with videos running :P

  • @woahbre Yeah, it's because the screen recorder is set at 29.94 fps and the preview window for pftrack is at 30fps. didn't realize until later that this would happen >.>

  • @Digitaldroplock Haha I thought so :D

Btw how did you learn PFTrack 2011? I can barely find any tutorials online, seems like the program just got released? I'd love to learn to use it

    Thanks

  • @woahbre Honestly it was days and days of trying things at random, I used to use pftrack 09' and since they came out with the new version it is completely different. Like a whole new program.

I'll be making a lot more tutorials about pftrack 2011 really soon, so stay tuned.

  • Nope. i get that ( \ ) symbol

  • @AiDz0r Hmmm, interesting. Can you import anything at all? That to me, sounds like either a registry issue(Highly unlikely) or a program bug/error.

Well have you tried a fresh install?

  • @Digitaldroplock yeah ill try it some time later its 2:18am here, going to bed now.

  • I've tried AVI,MP4 and MOV the formats aren't working. I go through the directory and folders but its now showing up.

  • @AiDz0r Well if its not showing up through the directories then something is up.

Try this, Get your footage out onto the desktop, then open up pftrack. Now while on your desktop, physically drag the footage into pftrack and see if that works.

  • I dont know why but i can't import videos does it need to be a specific format?

  • @AiDz0r Usually no.

Try importing a normal quicktime movie into pftrack and see if it will import.

Now if that works, go through your media bin @ 0:27 in the video, find your file you want to import, and drag it over to the tree editor.

Specifically what file type do you want to import in pftrack?
