  • what type of hohner is that?

  • I have a chromatic just like that one.

  • Hi this is great! Must have been hard to learn too, it's a great track, hard to be as brilliant as Davis, so excellent.

  • this video makes our cat tripout!!!

  • wich harm is that? n what key? congrats im learning and playing a diatonic hohner marine band 14 holes in G, and really start to sound nice! althoug was difficult play the first holes that you can blow even 3 tunes for bend, now im thinking try a chromatic and urs sound great, congrats

  • hi rodrigo. I'm playing a Hohner CX12 here wich it's a great harp; I also own a super 64x, wich if you're looking for 16 holes it's a great choice.

    Keep playing the harmonica,

    regards,

    Nicolas

  • Nice, bro!!

Really nice expression and tone to your playing

  • aw come on! Germany...

    Sounds really cool! and good!

    Harmonica über alles!

  • hey, which key are your harmonica in??

  • Comment removed

  • .....Its probably in concert C like most chromatic harmonicas... every instrument has a key....

  • To find out what key your harmonica is work out what note the 1 blow is.

Chances are you have a C harmonica.

Perhaps you could use a proper microphone next time, we can hardly hear you.

Keep up the good work. CX-12 is a nice instrument, especially through a good mike and amplification.

  • of course it has a key, just because it's chromatic....

    there are C's, D's, G's F's etc.

  • @666mouthforwar665, sorry, you're right, I didn't know that back when I wrote that comment

  • Where did you learn it ?

    x

  • just by ear. I really like this song, so after hear it for like a hundred times, I just had to pick up the harmonica and find the notes, wich ain't too difficult when it's a slow song like this one.

regards.... and the song it's on the album "sketches of spain" by Miles Davis, that one and "kind of blue" were my first aproach to miles davis an I would recomend them to everyone that enjoy jazz (or wants taste some of it)

  • Nice job, Nicolas! Lots of feeling. One comment: The sound of the CX12 - to my ears, at least - is very harsh so I'm really glad I just bought a Hohner Super Chromonica 270 Deluxe. Or did you play it like that to make it sound harsh?

  • I think it's a mix here. My playing could be a bit harsh here and the camera, it's just a picture camera and tends to increase the highs in the sound of the videos I make.

I have a Super 64x too, and I wouldn't consider the sound too different from the CX12 so most likely it's not the harmonica the one with harsh sound.

    regards,

    Nicolas

  • sorry, the german t-shirt it's just a souvenier from the soccer world cup. I don't speak german at all :-)

  • Hí Met

Good start! You have your own niche, keep on with that!

4* stars to begin with from me.

    J

  • thanks J, I want to learn so many songs in the chromatic, and just now I've have the time; so hopefully I will upload another one before the summer it's over (it's summer here).

    regards,

    Nicolas

  • That was good. What model harmonica is that?

  • Thanks. The harmonica it's a Hohner CX12.

  • it sounds good, how much did it cost?

And, that song do you have tablature or even the sheet music?

  • something like 130 bucks. No sheet or tablature. just ear on this one. I think that's one of the reasons I like ballads and slow songs, they're very easy to get even if you don't slow it down.

    regards,

    Nicolas
