God will take us when it is our time and so He desires. Jesus will be the pathway between man and God which when Judgement day comes. We will be forgiven have we given our hearts and souls full of regret to God. Shall we choose to accept him and love him and his son for our weaknesses in which the Lord will look upon us and smile with forgivness. As He is more forgiving and loving than all of us combined.

@toiwin I have to respectfully disagree. God does not have different standards for different people. All are judged according to what they understood plainly from the word of God and what opps they had. The 10 commandment law (look at it 1 by 1 again) is God's perfect standard for us. There is only 1 way to be saved once we realize we've broken that holy and just law and that's why we need Jesus, for forgiveness and strength to obey Him in spirit AND truth.
@toiwin It's not just non believers who will be cast into the lake of fire...but all hypocritical Christians who never took the time to really know the Savior, His will & ways. Note John 3:16. For those who put their trust in the Savior to lead holy lives the reward is Eternal life. For those who do not, eventually they will perish (not be tortured in a place of fire & brimstone for eternity). Perish means perish, no more, not eternal life in hell.

@toiwin He's right though, the concept of Hell originates from Norse mythology. They called the underworld, coincidentally I suppose, "Hel". And, probably another coincidence, they said it's also a place of eternal torture. As for the Bible, it, originally, just mentions a place called "Sheol", which translates to something along the lines of "grave". Hope this helps, after all, God's word should be one of love, not fear, right?
@donlaxner I wouldn't be a Christian today if the faith had no compelling evidence to consider in it's favor. In fact, it is because the Bible encourages us to seek after wisdom and knowledge and reason with one another that I am one today. God causes fire to fall down from heaven onto the earth on the wicked and burns them all up as final judgment with Satan burning the longest. The Bible is clear though, it does not exist now and is reserved for the day of judgment when God causes fire to come down from heaven and punish and burn up the wicked and burn up the earth before finally being made new. You're reading your Bible wrong. The Bible explicitly states Hell is real. It even says that when one goes there it'll be so bad that they'll wish they never existed but won't receive that wish. So your theory that they'll be "burned up never to exist again" is wrong. To make it so one no longer even exists, their soul completely snuffed out, is murder. God doesn't murder, that's why they must live on in perpetual torment.

It is strongly rooted in mythology and non-canonical books of the bible that the Roman church added in order to uphold it's doctrine. Nobody knows if they are going to heaven. Heaven is coming down to Earth. Nobody is in heaven or hell yet. They are all asleep. Paul in the Bible even tells you that. You have to work for your salvation. Once your dead, your test and trials are over.

I completely agree with the interpretation of 1 week = 1 year prophetically speaking, but the 70th week came already right after the 69th week which pointed exactly to the 1st coming of Jesus. You cannot take that week and somehow move it to the end of time and say it will be a 7 year tribulation period.

Friend, I've studied the evangelical viewpoints on the 2nd coming of Jesus, there is no 7 year tribulation period. There is a period of tribulation to come that ALL God's believers will go through, much like Danial & the Lion's Den, or the 3 hebrew boys and Israel and the 10 last plagues. God will save and protect us THROUGH the trib not BEFORE it. It will Glorify HIM to all the unbelievers to do so and IS consistent with how He has worked throughout the Bible.

@toiwin I have to respectfully disagree. God does not have different standards for different people. All are judged according to what they understood plainly from the word of God and what opps they had. The 10 commandment law (look at it 1 by 1 again) is God's perfect standard for us. There is only 1 way to be saved once we realize we've broken that holy and just law and that's why we need Jesus, for forgiveness and strength to obey Him in spirit AND truth.

@toiwin It's not just non believers who will be cast into the lake of fire...but all hypocritical Christians who never took the time to really know the Savior, His will & ways. Note John 3:16. For those who put their trust in the Savior to lead holy lives the reward is Eternal life. For those who do not, eventually they will perish (not be tortured in a place of fire & brimstone for eternity). Perish means perish, no more, not eternal life in hell.

@toiwin He's right though, the concept of Hell originates from Norse mythology. They called the underworld, coincidentally I suppose, "Hel". And, probably another coincidence, they said it's also a place of eternal torture. As for the Bible, it, originally, just mentions a place called "Sheol", which translates to something along the lines of "grave". Hope this helps, after all, God's word should be one of love, not fear, right?

I love god and jesus soooooooooo very much and would never question him...but i wonder so...God knows everything! so..why would he create beings knowing their ultimate fate...to burn for not 100 years, a 1000 or even 1,000,000,000 but eternity. Thank you...Im still a little confused on the...well..hell part but i didnt mean you couldnt ask questions. I meant like questioning his will and authority; and even then i dont mean stuff like things we cant understand. Like how God had no beginning and was always there. I thank you though...I needed some comfort. People seem to not care about the end of the world. God gave us one life and I wanted to enjoy mine. You know, like seeing your friends grow old having kids etc.

@toiwin I don't think you understand. There IS a place of hell the Lord speaks about. It just isn't here yet. Read the book of Jude and Revelation. God causes fire to fall down from heaven onto the earth on the wicked and burns them all up as final judgment with Satan burning the longest. The hell you believe in (a place a of eternal torment where sinners burn forever and ever) is sadistic and does not come from the Bible but from pagan mythology and dark age thinking.

The Bible is clear though, it does not exist now and is reserved for the day of judgment when God causes fire to come down from heaven and punish and burn up the wicked and burn up the earth before finally being made new. I don't believe in the mid-eval version of an eternally burning hell. Read John 3:16 VERY carefully again as well as rev and Sodom& Gmorrah.

You're reading your Bible wrong. The Bible explicitly states Hell is real. It even says that when one goes there it'll be so bad that they'll wish they never existed but won't receive that wish. So your theory that they'll be "burned up never to exist again" is wrong. To make it so one no longer even exists, their soul completely snuffed out, is murder. God doesn't murder, that's why they must live on in perpetual torment.

Over and over God says let us reason together, and ask Him for wisdom to understand spiritual truths. People tend to stop at a superficial glance of what they read in the Bible or worse what their pastors tell them something means. Ask God to reveal truth to you and He will.

but i guess based on the signs...I never will. I just wish I could live until like 60 at least instead of a really young age and being in the rapture. The only shred i have left is the fact that we dont know how long a day is to jesus. I heard that 1000 years was considerd to be a day through his eyes, but how long is a year really? @starnjuy Purgatory is a belief in an intermediary holding place for the soul after death because it is neither too good to enter heaven nor too bad to go to hell. It is strongly rooted in mythology and non-canonical books of the bible that the Roman church added in order to uphold it's doctrine. It is not a belief in protestantism nor is it rooted in the canonical bible.

@starnjuy Hi, I know you have probably gotten dozens of replies on your questions, but just to elaborate some more and to give some additional advice, the purgatory concept as mentioned is rooted in the Roman Catholic church, they not only teach this but they also teach that even if you live a life of sin and you die, once they get together and fast & pray for you, God will forgive your sins after u die. They teach this and many other heresies. I'll advise that u keep far from their doctrines.

@XtremePCGaming There is NOTHING too great a sin that you or anyone else has committed that God cannot forgive. God will help you and work through you if you let Him. None of us can become like Jesus in character unless we let God work in us. We do this by studying the bible, particularly the life of Christ, and praying to Him to give us victory over all our sins. The only sin God cannot forgive is the one against the Holy Spirit (the ones you don't confess to God and let Him help you with)

@FeralHermida YES! The gift of forgiveness is a free gift yours for the asking, meaning you cannot earn God's forgiveness nor work for it. We are all people who make mistakes in thought, deed & word. The difference is once you have accepted God's forgiveness and choose to follow Jesus, He can help you lead a good and pure life. Now that doesn't change circumstances though. If you massacred a whole city, you may still have to answer for those crimes here and now by man's laws. God loves you!

god is counting your tears. whatever you go through on this earth will depend on whether or not you will enter the king of heaven. When you do get to heaven, you will get to share part of what god has. why would anybody not want or believe in that? that is what i dont get about antichrists. I also believe the second coming is very near indeed, and do not be scared, be joyous. You will get to meet jesus my brothers, and have eternal life in paradise. Can i get an amen from that?

Nobody knows if they are going to heaven. Heaven is coming down to Earth. Nobody is in heaven or hell yet. They are all asleep. Paul in the Bible even tells you that. You have to work for your salvation. Once your dead, your test and trials are over.

some of us are going to church and repenting, changing their ways, converted but deep inside(spiritual) them is not converted yet... they just go to church so that they will be said that they are good, they will go to heaven but remember this how rich u r, how good u r, even though u r not converted spiritually u still cant go to heaven...

Which is really just maintaining a relationship wth Jesus through bibl study, prayer and Christian service - this is what it means to abide in Christ, surrendering your life to the will of God daily and allowing Him to guide our direction.

@hec231 That stuff has always existed. What Jesus taught is that when all these things intensify like a women who is pregnant and then is showing labor pains/signs, know that the end is close.

I completely agree with the interpretation of 1 week = 1 year prophetically speaking, but the 70th week came already right after the 69th week which pointed exactly to the 1st coming of Jesus. You cannot take that week and somehow move it to the end of time and say it will be a 7 year tribulation period.

No it is not, the 70th week comes right after 69 weeks back pointing exactly to the 1st coming of Jesus. Were does anyone get permission to slice off the last week of Daniel's 70 week prophecy and move it somehow to the end of time. the 1260/1290 day prophecies, point prophectically to the time of the dark ages when papal supremacy ruled viciously.

Friend, I've studied the evangelical viewpoints on the 2nd coming of Jesus, there is no 7 year tribulation period. There is a period of tribulation to come that ALL God's believers will go through, much like Danial & the Lion's Den, or the 3 hebrew boys and Israel and the 10 last plagues. God will save and protect us THROUGH the trib not BEFORE it. It will Glorify HIM to all the unbelievers to do so and IS consistent with how He has worked throughout the Bible.
