Subbed. I was thinking about the Roundhouse Taliesin ... but it looks now as I´ve really got to have one. It would look good on the Kent & North Wales Light Railway, based for obscure reasons in Alsace, France. Check it out.
Inulated wheels are a very good idea if you also run trains powered through the track eg LGB, or could possibly visit a line with track power, otherwise the power will have to be turned off for you to put the loco on the line, as it would short the power out otherwise
Yes it is, you couldn't make it up, me, mum and uncle at garden centre, whilst waiting for mum uncle comes out with classic line "I'd quite like my own engine, i'm thinking of buying a Taliesin" followed by "as I havn't got my own line would you like to look after it". The smile has barely left my face since! :-D
haha very good! I wish I had one of those sorts of uncles! Although I was in the car and my dad said "I ordered one of them Accucraft Viking diesels... something to run at steam ups..." (don't know how that would be a steam up!) but that should be fun...

I'm getting this Roundhouse Taliesin soon. Mines going to be for 45mm gauge (G scale). Is it better to have insulated wheels?

Brilliant vid, my favourite part has to be all the shots you had of the passenger's eye view of a running train. Really showed the line at its best.

Thanks, I've got a few plans for that setup (multi purpose wagon and camera)

That Roundhouse "Taliesin" is a nice engine!

oh yes :-) It's got a really nice chuff but the wind meant it wasn't picked up by the camera so much
