I just found out yesterday that Andy passed away in January. I'm so sorry to hear that. I first saw him in the documentary "Gimme Punta Rock." I'm not Belizean. I hope the people of Belize are proud of Andy. He did a lot to promote Belize and its beautiful culture. One love.

As a Garifuna watching this video of brother Andy,it only strengthens my faith and love for my Garifuna culture and heritage,Andy Palacio hands down will always be remembered in Garifuna history for his contributions in the furtherment of not only garifuna music but Garifuna culture as a whole.I had the honor of seeing him and his band the Garifuna Collective plus Paul Nabor perform last year at S.O.B.'s in nyc before heading to work,even though my stay was brief it was worth it.
