Since early 2000 I have been hit about five times total with frozen paintballs at public courses. Now those same people are going to be at these public "MILSIM" events. Would you trust that everyone with a firearm was using tac caps? Probably the same reason only the military does these events.

Flatline barrels put backspin on the balls and make them go straighter. 20 round mags are far more realistic than the 300 round mags you normally see in most airsoft guns. *proper* milsim paintball (which this video isn't really) can be extremely realistic.

That is so cool! I guess with airsoft you can ignore the bullets if you decide to cheat but the kit looks so much better. I just set up a site in Sweden and chose to buy paintball Tippman 98's and some more relistic markers too but I could have gone for airsoft, I suppose. I think its the spirit of the players that counts, play to win. Airsofters are welcome at my site.....but I dont have a tank yet.

I play paintball and airsoft, so what am i? You guys make it sound like airsoft is the gayest thing in the world. Both sports have their ups and downs. Paintball, the pain factor is awesome, more addrenaline, louder guns usually cooler groups of people. Airsoft, yea it does seem to attract some nerds, but the military simulation part of it is way better. Meet the right players and airsoft can be a blast. BTW, paintball at this place would be awesome. Wish it was closer to me.

Yes for the Argentinian spec ops I think. But the Secret Service and SAS both use airsoft for some aspescts of their training.
Other than that most militaries they just usually use live or blank rounds but none personal combat. But that's as much as I know about armies using paintball or Airsoft.

I used to play Paintball till I once have played airsoft. Speedball is awesome, but if you like milsims, most realistic combat airsoft beats PB's ass. Huge variety of realistic weapons, gear and tactics are all advanteges of airsoft.

airsoft is much better. 1) painball leaves paint everywhere, you can use biodegradeable airsoft bullets 2) paintball guns and ammunition are much more expensive, and less realistic.
I think we should stop arguing about which game is better or worse, both AS and PB players play their games to meet new people, stress out after work and have fun at the same time. In my opinion we should just be more tolerate about our games, I do know PB and AS players mostly hate, or, at least don't like each other, but we can see only differences between us and we don't see the things which are exactly the same in both of these sports.
@Deja8D I've been playing both for over three years now and I see more hostility from paintballers than I do from airsofters. Granted, most of this disrespect comes from the kids with the $700 markers that mommy paid for but there isn't a reason for it. Each game has their own play style. Most tend to think airsoft as MilSim (or at least a serious amount of people do). Only reason I got into paintball was for speedball/X ball, mainly because it's just not as fun as when done in airsoft.
@monekyjumble 1)paintball will disappear with water and paintball ARE biodegradable 2) paintball is much more exciting to play ( IMO ) and paying that much worth it. Plus there are field to play paintball and there's not for airsoft

I play paintball and airsoft, so what am i? You guys make it sound like airsoft is the gayest thing in the world. Both sports have their ups and downs. Paintball, the pain factor is awesome, more addrenaline, louder guns usually cooler groups of people. Airsoft, yea it does seem to attract some nerds, but the military simulation part of it is way better. Meet the right players and airsoft can be a blast. BTW, paintball at this place would be awesome. Wish it was closer to me.

@steezmiester airsoft aint a sport sorry, its only a game, officially atleast n sorry bout the delayed comment, but dont think im insulting, i play both, but i prefer paintball, as the regular-good guns dont cost as much as the good airsoft ones do, and now the simulation part of paintball got better too as the company RAP4 made a similarish to a bullet paintball which is really nice, both games are really fun, but paintball is more competetive, i dont see why theres rivalry with them...

Yes for the Argentinian spec ops I think. But the Secret Service and SAS both use airsoft for some aspescts of their training.
Other than that most militaries they just usually use live or blank rounds but none personal combat. But that's as much as I know about armies using paintball or Airsoft.

I used to play Paintball till I once have played airsoft. Speedball is awesome, but if you like milsims, most realistic combat airsoft beats PB's ass. Huge variety of realistic weapons, gear and tactics are all advanteges of airsoft.

airsoft is much better. 1) painball leaves paint everywhere, you can use biodegradeable airsoft bullets 2) paintball guns and ammunition are much more expensive, and less realistic.

I think we should stop arguing about which game is better or worse, both AS and PB players play their games to meet new people, stress out after work and have fun at the same time. In my opinion we should just be more tolerate about our games, I do know PB and AS players mostly hate, or, at least don't like each other, but we can see only differences between us and we don't see the things which are exactly the same in both of these sports.

@Deja8D I've been playing both for over three years now and I see more hostility from paintballers than I do from airsofters. Granted, most of this disrespect comes from the kids with the $700 markers that mommy paid for but there isn't a reason for it. Each game has their own play style. Most tend to think airsoft as MilSim (or at least a serious amount of people do). Only reason I got into paintball was for speedball/X ball, mainly because it's just not as fun as when done in airsoft.

@monekyjumble 1)paintball will disappear with water and paintball ARE biodegradable 2) paintball is much more exciting to play ( IMO ) and paying that much worth it. Plus there are field to play paintball and there's not for airsoft
