WOW! I have the same thing going on over here! What is the 2x6 called that is nailed to the deck? The one inside the house......not the ones that go across to it...the one on the wall? thanks!! I will subscribe!!!!
My next project will be a shipping container house...i m going to try to do one that is 80%self sustaining...rain water collection, LED solar lighting, passive solar water heating, bio-digester to operate gas refrigeration, even composting toilet.I plan on using refer shipping containers because they are heavily insulated...I want free of the grid...im already growing a lot of our food.Imagine if you didnt have to buy utilities and food how much money would you need to live a comfortable life?
Too much H20 causes the wood to rot and decay. Termites eat the wood. That's what happened to the pallettes I have outside. Hey termites aren't suppose to roll deep in Florida! Oh yes they can Jimmy, yes they can... That Trailer is a dump but I'm sure you can fix it up with your clean up sqaud. It will take a while. Good luck with the trailer.
You going to have to replace that plywood and beam. Your top plate is rotted not good. Trailer houses are money pits to let you know. Not built good at all. I have tried the same thing you are doing 10k later and still needed more. After you finish it you could buy an new modular.
@DannysCam thats fucking dirty cheap! thats wicked man. Cant go wrong for that price! In canada you would NEVER be able to find cheap property like that!
