  • On this video you see the electric car with very week controller it is just does not have guts to to push the car from higher gear, so I had to shift until I rebuilt this controller and after that I used only third gear to move around.

  • it's Electric why do you change gear so often? You must keep the rpm high as this is when the motor runs at its most efficient. (Stop Driving it Like an I.C.E!!!)

  • I love the idea of converting an old car using old parts - it's almost like Rat Biking. I learned to drive in 1970smobile myself and although I don't like cars much I am convinced that there is no finer motoring experience.

  • Fantastic! Well done! Good to see budget conversions to prove electric cars can be converted cheaply. I like the Forkenswift project also.

Interestingly I learnt to drive in a Vauxhall Viva - fun cars!

  • Excellent. :) I actually own a red-and-black two door Viva. It is still petrol powered though. Nice to see someone making use of an older car, rather then sending it to the crusher.

  • I never heard about the NZEVA Yahoo group,Yes I'll join it.

    Thankyou.

  • Hi Great car. Have you thought of joining the NZEVA Yahoo group so those of us building electric cars here in ChCh can contact each other. Regards David

  • Thankyou Steve.

  • Nice one, good to see your car driving from the inside.

    Steve from hi-tech

  • Nice reclamation project :)
