Rob died of congenital heart failure. He inherited a heart condition from his mother. He'd had a few "skipped beats" before he died, but, as his mother had had them without any consequences, Rob thought that he, too, would be safe. A friend of mine died of the same ailment at the age of 16.

My information comes from his family's statements in the obituary posted on the site of the funeral home which handled Rob's body. In that statement, his own mother descibed the very situation I detailed earlier.

It's so pathetic how some people ALWAYS NEED to say that anyone who has a better-looking body than they do, etc., must be on steroids, instead of ackowledging the reason for their lack of physical progress/success lies within themselves.

He was sixteen years old when he died.

As in Rob's case, steroids had absolutely nothing to do with his condition or his death.
