  • I remember this one, as Crazy Eddie often sponsored WCBS-TV, New York's ten minute late night newscast [usually with Pat Connell reading headlines, accompanied by slides on screen] on Saturday nights after "THE LATE SHOW" {the one with the old movies} in the early '80s- and this was the commercial they usually featured the most..

  • Love that Bee Gees' inspired disco song!

  • Some of the funniest commercials ever. Too bad the guys running the place were crooks.

  • Whatever happened to Jerry Carroll?

  • I haven't seen this commercial in 30 years. Wow. Thanks for posting it.

  • what happend to crazy eddie??

  • Thats my brother... Little Joey The Disco Kid!!!

  • Holy smokes do I remember this one! There was one store at 8th street and 6th ave in NYC. Passed it ever day for years. Jeeeeez was it that long ago???s

  • 2001 Oddessy....

  • Studio 54!!!

  • Far out man! Disco is KING!

  • I remember this from when i was a kid. But I appreciate it more now. The commercials were all low-budget, featuring a chunky middle-aged pitchman who looked like a used car salesman.

  • That's great! I was going to guess 2001 Odyssey because of the amazing dancefloor, but then I wondered if it was some soundstage recreation. This makes it all the more special to know it was the one and only 2001 Odyssey. Must have been great to really be in the mix back then. The Last Party indeed :)

  • It aired for around 6 years from 1978 to 1984 and it was filmed in the 2001 Oddessy on 8th ave in brooklyn. Eddie seen me doing a dance show at a club one night... that's how I got the part..

  • So cool! Do you remember when this was filmed or aired? And where was it shot? How'd you get the part? I'm guessing this was one of the earlier commercials -- maybe while Fever was still big in the air (between 77-79?)26 hours -- WOW, well the final result definitely made the long hours worth it.

  • Oh Wow, I grew up on Crazy Eddie commercials in the NYC. I don't remember this one -- a CLASSIC indeed! Jerry's got the moves down for real. Must have been a blast to be in the mix in the commercial. Thanks SO much for posting this!

  • Your Welcome... and yes it was fun.. I was only 13 at the time... but I had so much fun with them... It took 26 hours to film this straight through.
