Miami students are a bunch of pansies. The most of the students at the University of Dayton have been without power since Sunday and many still dont have power. There were no riots at Dayton. Miami students need to get off their preppy asses strap on some glow-in-the-dark polos and go to class.

But in all seriousness, this video made it look worse than it really was. The bulk, I'd say 75%, were there merely because there was nothing else to do. No rioting, looting, or even much protest was done by that 75%.

If more than 50% of the student body lives off campus, I feel certain that professors are aware of that. I would be very surprised and disappointed if they were not willing to work with you. As a teacher, I hope their number one concern is to educate you. Also consider....if this was a job would you protest because your power was out and you still had to work? This is your job and it is a good one. I think you are ignoring the problem at hand....life goes on and you need to deal with it.

Just a thought; you guys are not in high school. You or your parents are paying for a decent education. It should no longer be about getting out of class, but about preparing for your future. I understand a day off is fun, but you need to realize that the president was trying to make sure that you got what you have paid for.

When they cannot access the Internet to turn in assignments or communicate with professors? When they have no alarm clocks. No, President Hodge was in Columbus. HOWEVER, they had had a board of trustees meeting earlier on in the day, and several of the trustees WERE in the house at the time of the protest. :)

It was a joke. Of the people that went to protest, i would be suprised if anyone actually thought we were going to get classes cancelled. We were bored and if we seriously didn't want to got to classes we would just skip.
