NIIICE! I'm from central Texas and used to go out there quite often, plan on being out there this summer after some more mods to my car. Was it a 2-door M3 or 4 door? Just a plain jane 4L M3 or was it an E-90 or E-90 with driver package? They make about 420HP atc at 8,600rpm but the torque curve and hp curve are so different it's not the best car for drag racing, road racing with a close ratio gear box, yes.

Not sure which it was, but from what I remember it was real nice. On that particular run he wasn't at his best. He had some times that came close, but never close enough. Maybe if he had everything perfect and I had a delayed reaction time he could of edged one out.

The Jeep SRT8 sure is a fun vehicle to own. Launching one from a stop is something that you cant experience in many cars. I know I had a 2008 SRT8. The problem with the Jeeps is they really only are good from a stop. Moving at speed and cars that you would never thought could beat a SRT8 will. They are not highway kings obviously since they are just so big and heavy. From a stop though watch out!! I sold the SRT and now own a C6 Z06 vette which is a whole nother beast, but the Jeep was fun!!

As for your second point. Check out my other videos. I did take it to a course. I whooped on a lot of cars. One being an M3 plus a vette, STI, Elise and others. Granted they werent the best drivers, but we were all on the same skill level.

While I'm a big fan of BMW, RWD street cars & some AWD cars, the Jeep SRT8 is THE SHIT. It'll pretty much smack the shit out of most street cars, even alot of Corvette's. It's the only SUV that I know of that can take on a car made of carbon and still win. I'd race one in my IROC knowing I'd lose but having fun putting up a good race. You don't need to believe it, but it did happen, with that you don't need to be a d-bag about it. For those of you claiming driver error, well that just plays to the advantage of the Jeep. I've beaten high 11 second cars because they see the Jeep pull so hard at the start that they get anxious and miss a gear.

Something that I do not want to mention however it just leads to the Jeep's biggest advantage. Traction and reaction are factors in winning. I have had a couple of races in which my 1/4 time and mph were slower (by tenths or hundredths) but still won because I have no traction issues and RT was decent.

The 1/4 timer portion does not actually start until hitting the 3rd sensor on the tree box. (Someone correct me if i'm wrong)

I have a Jeep SRT8 and you obviously know absolutely nothing about the Jeep SRT. It is the fastest of the SRT8 Line Up. It comes stock with a 6.1 liter V8, 420 HP, and its AWD. The M3 is only a 4.0 liter V8 with 414 HP and its RWD. They also have the same 0-60 time of about 4.5-4.6 seconds. It outmatches an M3 with very little mods if any.

I've been in one of these enough times to know how it compares to an m3. The Poster of this vid even acknowledged his car was tuned. Great car, but you can't compare it stock to a stock M3.

You're repeating what I said earlier. He's a great driver. an M3 with the same driver would not lose. the Jeep SRT8 is an awesome car, but it's not an M3 track designed car. Just like any muscle car it's goes in a straight line quick. IN this case he was quicker. In most other cases where no mods are involved the M3 would pull ahead.
