  • i have 03 spec v and i cant hear my v tec.

  • Just test drive one.

  • hows the handling on the sentra just trying to get some facts before i buy one

  • You drive like me lolol. Like it.

  • to scared at wheel look at his hands

  • i can feel the torque from my desk...

  • Cam angle wasn't to bad at all. :P

  • Damn, I heard that VTEC kick in!!!!!!

  • I really wanna SE-R! I have a stock 2001 Sentra GXE with the 1.8..I love the car to death but its really slow in the high rpms!

  • its sounds there like a vtec hahahahha

  • Look like a nice road out there... Spec-V for Ever... I won one for now a year an I fuckling LOVE it. :D

  • i like this car. i think i might get this instead of an accord. it seems to have that kick at high revs like a honda/acura vtec, and i like it

  • @1englandnigga You won't regret it. The back seat is a joke, but it's super fun to drive.

  • so you hit a 15.2 with the car all stock??

  • CAI = 5Hp gain

High Profile Cams = 20Hp gain

Garret Performance Turbo = 100hp+ gain

Removing the air filter = Priceless

  • 2004 Nissen Sentra ! RULEZ ! Civic Si ? Get out ~ lol

  • Looks like a good place to hit a deer.

  • How did you mount the camera? I too have a 04 Spec V.

  • put the air filter back in there lol its there for a reason... in less u dont care about engine lol... these cars are beasts ive got one and its running 0-60 in high 5's

  • so my friend got this car today i like how it sound i have a 03 mustang and this next weekend we are going to the track to see what it runs stock well it has a intake and mine just has a 75mm throttle body i run 14.6 but idk i want to find out what he runs

  • It does have variable valve timing, but not variable "lift" like VTEC, VVTL-I, or Mivec has. CVCT is compariable to VVTI. It adjusts camshaft timing. THe "VTEC sound" you guys are hearing is what is refered to as the "power valves" in the intake manifold opening up. At 5000 rpm a second, much larger set of butterflys in the intake open up, giving it that loud punch.

  • I thought that was some sort of DSI. Me and one of my friends were debating my friends 2.5 Altima. I thought is was DSI, he thought it was VVT

  • Where is that happening at?

  • haha this thing aint using a shit 1.8 four banger... its got the 2.5 altima engine in it

    with a 6 speed manual...

i think im gona get this some1 offerin for 5 gz

  • hey a pro can get 300+ out of a 1.8 four banger so they aint that shitty

  • @heterosapien69 look up nhra pro fwd... 1500 hp idk what liter,

  • wow and i thought 4cyl had potential but i now i see that they're up there with the v12s if you set it up right. hot damn!

  • @W33Dblazer haha the spec v has a factory performance tuned version of the altima. its not exactly the same as the altima, a little more powerful on the dyno. spec v is raw.

  • dude when you were WOT the rpm's got like 5x louder right before the shift that was badass, is that like vtec but nissan?

hopefully iam gettin an 03 black spec v this weekend, got the cash just need a ride lol.

  • its cvtc. it give s the same effect as vtec but worki a little diff. good luck on the new ride

  • no it is not either of the above mentioned items. it is the butterfly valves/secondary intake runners opening up. No it is not vtec or anything like it. altho the spec v does have cvtc, that is continuously variable timing control. and it is different than vtec. not even close.

  • lol i never said they were the same thing. i said they have virtually the same affect.

    ill give a a B for effort

  • Comment removed

  • again. no. they do not have virtually the same effect at all. cvtc optimizes torque thorughout the powerband, giving it a nice smooth curve. vtec will give it the more lift and if its the i-vtec it will also adjust the timing, which is the only thing similar to nissan's cvtc, in the new civic si, right before vtec is actually hit, there is a drop of hp and then a jump in the curve.

  • i know exaclty how they both work but your trying to tell me that there isnt a slight hp encrease with either cvtc and vtec?

  • nowhere did I say there was not a slight increase in hp with cvtc. with vtec, yes due to the lift. but as you know, cvtc is not lift. im not really arguing with you over vtec and cvtc, im arguing with your missinformation that the noise in this video was from cvtc. it is not, as i said it was the secondary runners. that is there to optimize torque. but some members over on myspecv have had their runners open like that at all times and saw only minimal gains in torque.

  • its called CVTC and yes it is a variable valve timing

  • rally race maybe? lol

  • Hey! You and me got almost identical quarter mile times/speeds! Great vid!

  • nice driving man!!

  • i completely agree wiht you

  • Great Video... Great Car... I love the the idea you has for this video but it looks very dangerous... Never put some one else's life on the line its... Its not the right thing to do... I know I sound like a mom but if you listen to the message then it is worth it...

  • beautiful :)

  • is it on the bottle?

  • RX8 was a lot faster, I own a Porsche 911 now, need to get some vids of that up.

  • @swifty8083 you think so? i test drove both and went with the spec v cause it felt much faster.

  • How did you stand to go to a slower car when you sold the spec v? I'm not sure I could handle doing that 0_o?

  • im getting an 06 spec next week i wish i can find some sick twisting roads where i live to really see how it handles.... nice video

  • dude i have an 06 Spec V and it handles great around turns....i just love mine to death!! Hail to the Mighty Spec V!!!

  • Car sounds great. Nice vid.

  • I got a flowmaster exhaust and an AEM intake put on my sentra and it FLIES. I'm scared to give it any gas now becuase the suspension is not stiff enough to handle the tight turns at high speeds.

  • an intake and exhaust doesn't make that much power. an SE-R Spec V has a decent enough suspension on it. you didn't add 50hp with the bolt-ons, maybe 3-5hp at most. bolt ons don't do anything, its what's INSIDE the motor that makes real power.

  • I sold the car a while ago, drive an RX8 now.

  • nice car.

  • @swifty8083 Do You Like The Rx8 Or The Sentra?

  • friend has the same car. there fuckin fun cars! sounds realy good! but what does your's shut off at?

  • Great Car my i just got an 06 se-r and just love it man. For and little 2.5 it gose, great grip, helical limmited slip difs man stock 0-60 in under 7 :)

  • The SER has lsd? I thought it was only the spec?

  • sorry yes only, the spec dose, forgot to mention it thanx. 2006 se-r spec v

  • Please post more vids! I just got an 04 V-spec!

  • Congratulations, this car owns.

  • Man I just put on a "Cold Air" and WOW! sounds great! Alot faster also!

  • I just got 15.09 @ 90 MPH, and this is my winter car!!

  • very nice im looking at one of these...how is the gear box ?

  • Sounds like a 350z sounds great!

  • I love how it sounds when CVTC opens the secondary intake ports.

  • Yeah, I ran it stock (with air filter haha) back when it had 17K miles on it. I made 2 passes, a 15.284 and a 15.317 (About 80 Degrees out) I'll get a better video up here, that was just more of a trial run on some local street close by.

  • @swifty8083 you ran low 15s stock with your spec v??

  • 15.2 is pretty good for almost stock
