  • Guys, just so you know, the uploader is dead.

  • i like the video. thanks for the upload.

  • i have a problem the surge i have when its closed its shaking please help me in the solution and thank you

  • 420hc is 420high carbon wich is what is on my wave so not very good for rust but a good blade

  • Surge ROCKS! I love my mossy oak Surge!

  • What is better... Wave or surge ?

  • PURCHASED MY SURGE FOR 90 CANADIAN. I received a full leather sheath, leather is not affected by the water and can be used to hone your blade in a pinch. I also got the full pack of bits with it no charge. the blade sharpens really easily for a stainless and holds and edge as well as an equally thin D2 blade. best multi tool I have ever used not only for it's price range.

  • NIce video man great Job!!

But I need some advice I want to buy a Leatherman and i was kinda thinking about a leatherman charge tti so what would you say?

  • uhhh, nylon isnt waterproof at all.

  • Sorry to hear about HCDDWarhero's passing. I'm friending and subbing in tribute.

  • Which are the best / differences among Leatherman

    Wave

    Charge AL

    Charge ALX

    Charge TTI

    ???

  • @urkingod Well that's an opinion. It depends on what jobs you will need it for. The surge has the most tools other than the power 300 tool that leatherman recently came out with. You can carry the surge (18 tools) and only use 2 of them for the rest of your life. Or you could get a squirt which has alot less and need to use more tools then are on the squirt. so it depends. I always like to have more than what you think you may need. I'd go with the knife with the most tools usually.

  • @HCDDWarhero That is a very good point. I have decided to go with Surge for my car, and Charge TTi for back pack for survival / emergency, etc. Along with full survival knife.

  • @urkingod Great idea. That what I do too. When I go on a hike I will carry a pocket knife in my pocket. A survival knife in my pack and the multitool will either be on my belt or in my pack.

  • @HCDDWarhero surge has 21 tools according to leathermans website

  • btww your using the ruler the wrong way your suppose to make the handles straight like a line and the plier head facing up

  • @stun279 It doesnt matter.

  • @HCDDWarhero yes it does matter, use it the way you do any your measurement will be off.

  • @stun279 no hes using the right way because if you notice if you use it with the pliers facing up below the pliers is a big gap which u cant measure with the ruler

  • @slice0001 the big gap is supposed to be the 4" mark... measure it with a ruler and see who's right.

  • @stun279 dude either way you would get a better measurement measuring the way hes doing it

  • @slice0001 his way is a bit inaccurate and it wouldnt be flat like a ruler.

  • @stun279 well it may not be flat but to me tht looks accurate enough

  • Nice review; I have the Surge in black oxide finish and love it. For the rust spots, apply either BreakFree CLP or Tri-Flow, apply it to the entire tool then wipe it down and you'll be good to go.

  • hey man, mine packaging says that there is a wire stripper on the tool, but i can't find it, you know where it is?

  • @kagekicker It is on the pliers.

  • hi fella there is also a wire stripper on the bottle can opener its a v groove

  • hi dude... price in malaysia $826!

  • what?

  • i have both charge tti and surge..love em both..the surge blade exchanger is cool, i use bosch jigsaw blades they are the same fitting

  • i decided on the tti, your blade looks like its kind of worn

  • What's TTI and waht does the blade ware have to do with it? I think I missed something.

  • the charge tti has titanium handles and s30v steel for the blade and i was just commenting on your blade lol sorry

  • Oh wow, I didn't even know they made this knife in any other metal lol. My blade held up to alot. I have just used it alot and it went through my personal "test". Really the only thing that has degraded on it is the looks, it still cuts fine.

  • i'm surprised you havent heard of it in a comment there's practically a cult that follows the charge and the surge most vids about the charge hav comments saying the charge is a pussy tool and to get the much beefier surge lol

  • if they were free would you take the surge or the charge tti because those are the 2 i'm stuck choosing from they both look great

  • The Surge for sure but the price varies alot. The Surge is easily better but for the price it's not. If I had any limit of money I'de go with the Wave because it's VERY VERY similar and about 20 dollars cheaper the last time i checked.

  • Is it toy ? Looks like plastic made.

  • The knife is 420HC METAL. It's a tool, not a toy.

  • One of ht ebetter reviews, but I don't think those are centimeters.

Not easy to change the cutter for file.

  • It has inch, centemeter and milimeter lines and is only labeled as inches. It is very easy to change the "cutter" to a file. you you have to do is take it off like I showed in the video then put the other one in which is the same as the saw.

  • Google the tool and you will see the sheath. its the elastic sided nylon holder.

  • hmm. Still don't see it. Is it in images or is it like a thumbnail to a movie?

  • i have seen some vids of same model but a ugly nylon sheath

  • What did it look like? Link?

  • google the surge

  • is that the shealth that still comes with that?

  • Yes.

  • no u put the arms on the side and put the pliers strait up to make the ruler

  • It's the same either way.

  • ooo ok

  • Tech is right, use a ruler you will see that you are losing several mm.

  • This was a great review of the surge. The audio and video quality was very good. The surge tool is awsome. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to buy a special bit for the 8 security screws in the surges handles.

  • Well me personally, as stated, I don't use the screw driver enough to buy more bits for $20.00

  • good quality review

  • Thank you.
