  • this peverted poofter is a disgrace to Britain.

  • @Iron1023 sry mate BNP is on another channel

  • Hello, Why would england be better off

  • They aren't the party of all wales. They are the party of the sheep shaggers.

  • @pysgodfach pysgod bach***

  • Yea, but Plaid, Labour, Tories, Libdems... they all support capitalism... they all follow the same capitalist logic that ordinary people must pay for the bankers.

... they are not really socialist.

Wales needs socialism, fighting trade unions, and a workers alternative to the main parties. If Plaid really was socialist and stood up for the working class then they would get my vote.

Wales cannot be truly free if it is still owned by the bosses!

  • im english and i live in wales, i might vote for these guys...will they deport me?

  • @justseanmusic

Lol no, don't worry, you will not be deported should they end up running Wales. You will be sent to a deathcamp where you will be tortured and then gassed to death.

  • lol, phew, i was starting to get worried :P

  • @justseanmusic If Plaid get into power in Wales then they will not deport any Englishmen or women whatsoever. They are supportive of Wales' diverse culture and that does mean people from England too. As for another comment of yours that I've seen, sure Plaid would support the take-up of the Welsh language but it wouldn't be forced upon anyone in anyway whatsoever. If a person wishes to learn or choose Welsh then let them however everyone will still be able to use English as always

  • @ChrisRSwift well the best of luck to them, not sure who i'll be voting yet but it wont be any of the mainstream parties, id rather shoot my self in the foot literally then vote for any of those douche bags.

  • Who is the bloke in the video?

What position does he hold in the Party?

  • Down with Plaid.

I'm Welsh AND British, and I'm proud of the Union. Plaid are a bunch of small minded idiots who should fuck off interfering with our lives.

  • To: cnavaro88 and other treacherous idiots.

I'm proudly Welsh and NOT and NEVER will be British, why can't you traitors find your way out of our country?

We have a great road, its called the M4, it leads all the way to London, why don't you get out of Wales and on your way say hello to the Queen and tell her to keep out of our country as well, thank you. God bless the memory of Michael Collins and other Irish freedom fighters. Erinn go Bragh, Cymru am byth.

  • @brambling21

The M4? Neh. I'm from North Wales, the M4 only serves South Wales. That's exactly why I would hate an independent Wales, it would be southern dominated. It would be like me telling you to take the a55 (road in North Wales) into England.

And yes, you ARE British. Check your passport. Wales is just a region of Britain.

  • Well that just sums up your LAB mentality.

Swearing now, isn't that a form of abuse? then again abuse is what lab is all about.

  • Cymru go braugh!

Sinn Fein stands with you in the fight for independence from England!

It is high time that Ireland and Wales form an alliance between our two peoples, so that both of our countries can at long last, be free from the British invaders!

  • Whoop it up for liberty!

'Let us free Ireland,' says the patriot who won't touch Socialism.

Let us all join together and cr-r-rush the br-r-rutal Saxon. Let us all join together, says he, all classes and creeds.

And, says the town worker, after we have crushed the Saxon and freed Ireland, what will we do?

Oh, then you can go back to your slums, same as before.

    Whoop it up for liberty!

    (Socialism made easy- James Connolly)

  • What about Labour? ...Only joking!

  • And Plaid needs to answer my emails!

  • It is beyond me how anyone in Cymru can vote for an English anti-Welsh party is beyond me.

We in Cymru have our own political parties without resorting to Lab,Lib,Tories,Greens & BNP/ENP who are all anti-Welsh.

  • @treclie

Labour are not anti-Welsh. That's ridiculous.

We vote Labour because Plaid aren't big enough to influence the national economy/society, only Labour or the Tories (yuck) can do that.

    Vote Labout 2010.

  • plaid suck big time - their a bunch of English-haters who want to turn Wales into a mutli-cult hellhole

  • Were is the drive the commitment of doing what they as a party are ment to stand for? i dnt want sad little vids saying 'vote 4 me' with every1 in Wales knowin they are jst lap dogs 4 labour. Thats why im just going 2 vote labour anyway, im not going to waste a vote on Plaid if theres a chance Conservatives might get in (and then the Welsh will realy b fucked, excuse my lingo). Give me some sence of will/passion/pride that we as a country boasts 4 then and only then u shall have my vote!!!!!!!

  • my opinion as a young Welsh person who aint yet voted (will b for the first tym b4 lng) is, i will not vote for them (unless they turn it up a notch) because when we did and they had loads of votes of welsh people they joined up with labour and did fuck all always playing the number 2! they are crap! they are meant 2 b a party fighting for Welsh independence (which i hope i will live to c that day) iv cn more passion in the english anthem which is tosh!

  • @7charmaine

Welsh independence will never happen. Keep on dreaming.

The British people don't want it, and nor do us Welsh.

  • @cnavaro88 you sad sad tiny brained bore-nice try with your attempt at causing a division between north and south lol-hows about you take a trip eastwords down the a55 then and leave the country which you obviosuly dont think is good enough to run itself

  • @chrisjoneschrisjones

I don't need to cause a division, there already is one. What would be the difference for us on the N.Wales coast whether we're run by Cardiff or London? London is actually closer in terms of travel time.

  • nice try -.whatever your nationality why dont you go and live in carlisle and then carry on with your fetish of complaining how far central government in london is from you.then to give you more thrills go and live in siberia and get your kicks from complaining about how far away from moscow you are and that youd prefer to have your allegiance to the penguins

  • @chrisjoneschrisjones

I'm not the one complaining, I am perfectly happy to have my laws made in London. I was showing that Plaid's argument (that it's better for Wales to be run by a parliament closer to home) is invalid for us in N.Wales, because Cardiff is not close.

  • if you think your talking on behalf of all 'us in north wales' your living in cloud cuckoo land.fuck how far it is or not (london is about a hundred miles further by the way) -this is our country and cardiff is our capital.if your allegiance is london thats your choice turncoat- but good luck with finding anyone in london exept the london welsh who give two fucks about wales

  • @chrisjoneschrisjones

This is my country and london is my capital. I've never been to Cardiff in my life, it has done nothing for me. London IS closer than Cardiff in travel time for me.

  • good for you

  • Ye true they have made our language stronger and i am so greatful 2 them for that but we-welsh are the people that have realy kept Welsh alive anyway, as for culture its instiled in us from birth so no credit given there.

  • I have no prob with most English ppl, I have english friends & theres a small minority ppl that give the English a bad name. But the same applies 2 Wales, we have ppl who hate English ppl just for being English, and they give the image 2 some that Plaid is an anti-English party. If Ireland can have a free state why cant we? Thats what alot of ppl want 4 Wales, we're sick of ppl trying 2 tell us that Wales isnt a country and that England 'own' us, u have 2 understand how humiliating this is 4 us

  • Ireland isn't a free state it's a full fledged republic, Canada and Australia are free states.

  • But isn't it a free state as in its an independant country? Thats what I thought 'free state' meant.

  • No that's not what free state means, free state means you have your own government, but you're still part of the commonwealth and the queen is your head of state, like Australia and Canada, being a republic is something different, it means you've broken away from the commonwealth completely and have your own head of state i.e a president, as Ireland does.

  • I see where you're coming from because your obviously irish and in that case the words 'free state' were used to describe Ireland before it had full sovereignty between 1922-37. Being a 'free state' doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the commonwealth or the queen, it can means its a sovereign nation, Italy, Brazil, India are all 'free states' (a state/country/nation that is independent/sovereign). Type in 'Free state (government)' on wikipedia.

  • One way of looking at it is that when Ireland was the 'Irish Free State' it wasn't truly a free state but a self-governing British dominion. When it became 'Republic of Ireland' it was still a free state, even more so than it was before. 'Republic' simply means a state without a monarch.

  • People who state England "owns" Wales usually dont have any idea what they are talking about, The UK is an equal partnership of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, no one "owns" the other. This Union, for all its past troubles, benifits the kingdoms more then being seperate would ever do, under the union the Welsh language is returning, as is the culture. i wouldnt ever vote for Plaid Cymru, simply because i belive we are above the insults.

  • ...After all the Welsh never agreed to any union, it was forced upon them because at the time Wales had been annexed by England and incorporated into its legal and administrative identity. Although I do not believe we are ready for independence yet, I believe that we should be allowed a parliament like Scotland (the assembly has very limited power) and then in the next 20-30 years we could seriously campaign for independence in the most peaceful way and without harming relations with England.

  • I'm interested in why you think the Welsh aren't ready for independence, why are the Welsh not as keen to get their own parliament as the Scots?

  • I think most ppl in wales would love to see a proper welsh parliament asap, as for independence thats something alot of ppl are still against. I would say we have to give it more time and see how an independant scotland would work out, i just think that its too soon for us realistically because it needs more support from both inside and outside wales, these things take time theres no point in rushing.

  • When I go abroad in Europe and ppl ask me where im from I say Wales. Then they say 'Is that in England?' then we go through a lengthy and frustrating conversation explaining that Wales is not a part of England and I am Welsh not English. Yes I am British, but the word 'British' is naturally associated with England, and Wales is never mentioned in history classes outside the UK.

  • Adam Price, £145,000 in expenses last year. Some socialist.

  • Mr Price represents a consistuency in Carmarthen. You can't expect him to commute to Westminister on a daily basis surely? Therefore as with all MPs based a distance away from London have no choice but to live there. What about all the Conservative MPs from the aristocracy who have claimed far more expenses despite being incredibly wealthy in the first instance and Sein Fein who don't even attend parlment. An argument that a parlament in Cardiff would reduce all these huge costs.

  • mmmmm

what the hell has the queen ever done to defend the people of wales?

    mmmmmm

actally come to think of it . . .

what the hell has she ever done in her life!?

  • 1st of all. Wales is not technically part of the Union. It was axed (occupied). Wales is not even featured in the "union flag". This is hardly a sign of equality or fair representation - given that Scot, Eng and Ireland are included. i nor my children will salute to flag that no regard for Wales, because i have some self -respect.

2ndly if you're a vehement supporter of the Union and encourage others to be future looking and not dwell on the past, why not extend the union to Europe?

  • How can you say they are scum for standing up for the interests of the Welsh people? What you don't realise is that the people of a country regardless of its history with its neighbours, naturally wan't independence. People don't vote for Plaid Cymru because they hate the English or because of history. They vote for them because, not only do they want more power to govern their own people and affairs, they feel that we need a stronger identity and more international recognition as a country.

  • Scotland will soon be an independent nation and thankfully this outdated union will be dissolved. Ireland has successfully transformed in a economically prosperous nation, after gaining independence, despite not having any natural resources to rely on. People worldwide respect the Irish for struggle they have fought. At present, Wales is the one of the most economically deprived areas, -is this what you settle for? Clearly the "union" is not working for the vast majority in Wales.

  • Lovely video, very well done.

  • The Labour party in Wales are a bit like the pigeons in Queen street Cardiff......When they're down they will eat out of your hands.....but when their up they'll shit on you

  • If I were Welsh, I'd vote for Plaid Cymru.

  • give wales and scotland thier independence as an englishman i think that england will be much better off as well

  • I am Morgan Brobyn and I support this message.

    Heil Plaid

  • Well said Plaid, Well said.

  • Everyone is not welcome at all. What a load of old rat droppings. If I were to move to an independent Wales, I would get my home firebombed. However, Somalis would be welcomed with open arms.

  • On the contrary. If Wales were to become independent, there would be no grounds for others living in Wales to have any animosity against the English as the sense of colonisation and domination would disappear. I can only envisage the relationship would dramatically improve.

  • Yes J3yeJ3ye ! the Somalis would be welcomed with open arms, because they didnt invade us in 1282 and murder Prince Llywelyn ap Gruffydd

As to having you house burned if you moved to Wales, the burning of English owned houses is more for people who buy Welsh houses to use as holiday homes. which makes houses in Wales to expensive for the locals to buy

  • much1955 - somalis might not have invaded you in the past but most people like to live in the present not in 1200's. Welsh people even treat people with welsh ancestory worse, with suspicion than those who have no links to the counrty. Was kept by the immigration as they treated us like illegal aliens despite having welsh surnames and being able to speak a few words of welsh. Thank Our Lord my great grandparents emigrated.

  • Hiya 1ibrequebec, Sorry if you were treated bad by the UK immigration. Wales has no say in who or what comes into Wales, immigration and foreign policy are decided upon in Westminster not Cardiff bay. I don't live in the past....but I don't forget our history. I live in the present, dreaming of the future were a Independent Wales can " Keep a welcome in the hillside " for all who would come in peace to visit Cymru, not just to buy a holiday home and make real estate to expensive for the locals !

  • yeah - i have little support for a country so preoccupied with wanting to be the saviour of the world's destitute when they don't have a country themselves. Why has Wales inherited this colonial guilt that rest of Europe has? A country with little self-respect that they need approval from others.

  • Its good to see that Plaid Cymru are now in power in the Welsh Assembly along with Labour. Forward Wales!

  • Hilarious...Plaid have lost all credibility by joining up with New Labour in the assembly.

Socialist my arse.Opportunist more like.Real sell out merchants.

The gains they have made will be lost as their traditional supporters look elswhere for a bit of honesty.

  • actuallly plaid joined with labour so they can do what they promised , improve wales , which they have more chance of doing in a coalition government than they would on their own in opposition dont you think ?

  • Well honestly welshgazza1992 I don't think so ! By going into a coalition with Welsh Labour I think Plaid has hitched their wagon to a dying horse. Labour is making cock up after cock up and Plaid will get the some of the blame ! Let Labour go it alone and then us Plaid supporters can say " well we told you so " when Rodri & " Hovis " Brown fall flat on their arses ! Cymru am Byth.....We shall rise again ! ( Fe godwn ni eto )

  • Plaid- please don't bang on about racial purity and one folk stuff- that stuff went out with the Nazis

  • Plaid a socialist party?! Are you having a laugh, they are like the SNP left wing in Labour constituencies and right wing in Tory areas!

  • Duck 117 is talking crap. Tell me how you think that being a small region in the united states of Europe (The EU) is Independence - please check the definition in the dictionary! You will not be independent in the EU, you will just change Westminster for Brussels.

  • eve myles is hot

  • Plaid is completely pointless. I mean honestly, proposing a socialist party to govern a capitalist country. WHAT A JOKE.

Yes that's right Plaid, let's vote for you in the next general parliamentary election. I would simply love to have to pay more taxes to subsidise lazy social detritus who do not even bother to contribute to society.

    PLAID = POINTLESS

  • I agree with you eireog121, it drives me nuts, hearing all the fake patriotism some of my friends show."I hate england" why don't you show this hatred by voting against them!? You sing in every rugby match "dros rhyddin collasant eu gwaed" - For freedom they [our fathers] lost their blood. We have been fighting for independance for so many years, and now we have a chance to get it, nobody does anything about it! Stop saying you hate the english, just vote Plaid Cymru and we'll be free once more.

  • welll said my freind

  • Plaid all the way. irish in college in wales! What is wrong with some welsh ppl Plaid should be rocking the vote you say you hate d english but thats only when it comes to rugby!!!

  • i dont care if wales becomes independant il be living in england by the time that happens:)

  • Felly 'gethinj', dwi ddim o blaid nac yn erbyn annibyniaeth ond gallwch i esbonio pa fanteision ac anfanteision fydd o gylch cael annibyniaeth? Diolch

  • Be Welsh or British, up to you. What is just stupid and wrong is to say you can't afford it. Sorry, but that's ill-educatd nonsense. I mean, are you so stupid you can't look at Iceland, Denmark, Ireland et al.

  • Um...they're in a different situation to Wales. Wales, Scotland and England are on one island, so it could be argued that the formation of the UK made sense. Iceland is its own country and Denmark is simply a small country on mainlaind Europe. Independent European states have more room to break away than Wales does.

  • Also, these days, independent (small) European states often get financial aid from the EU. Not saying that an independent Wales would definitely rely on that because I honestly don't know, the examples I'm thinking of are Luxemburg and Montenegro.

  • Also, Ireland is an island of its own, so independence was easier to obtain. Ireland is also arguably most deserving of independence, considering out of all historical UK citizens, the Irish were treated the worst.

  • well i do believe their parliament voted for the joining the welsh people didnt have a say in who ruled us

  • Iceland isn't in the E.U. Yes, I'm aware they are in a 'different situation', i.e. they look after themselves and are not dragged into illegal wars. Only an idiot thinks ann independent Wales is non-viable.

  • thats true if you think about the uk holds both wales and scotland back and lets not get in to northern irland

  • The best course of action for Wales and the UK as a whole is a British Federation. A Federated UK would provide Wales with the approximate level of autonomy the nationalist want, and the correct degree of autonomy, which is sustainable for Wales.

  • economically it is impossible, all its money comes from the British Government, Wales alone wouldnt be economically strong and would collapse financially. Where would the budget come from? English businesses and shops would have to pull out due to the red tape of being in another country. the army bases already there would have to be taken down by the british. If anyone can show me a decent proposal for financial wealth, then please do, because I want Wales to be independent

  • The argument used by ukulelemad is so pathetic. The Rep of Irleands GDP is now far higher than the UK. IF Ireland had remained in the UK it would be like Wales, one of the poorest regions of the EU. If Wales is such a burden to the UK and Scotland then why dont the English vote for independence to get rid of Wales and Scotland????? THey know they are on to a good thing bleeding their lat colonies dry.

  • I will never vote Labour again! They want to cut Swansea's NHS services to bits! My local labour AM's even voted to decimate children's brain surgery at Morriston Hospital! Many other specialised services are soon to follow! Even Swansea's cancer services are in a mess i.e. there has been a high profile resignation in part due to a lack of radiotherapy and scanning facilities at Singleton Hospital! If they can't get cancer services right what hope do we have! Welsh Labour are a disgrace!

  • id love to see scotland and wales independant and the six counties reunited in ireland, but you got to fight for it,not in the physical sense

  • Nag di tad mae'r saeson yn cael digon o gyfle i ddysgu'r iaith. yw hunig esgus yw eu twpdra. Annibyniaeth amdani. Yr unig beth mae'r saeson wedi wneud i gymru ydi coloneiddio'r wlad.

  • Plaid Cymru are lying to the people of Wales, and they know it. Wales cannever be free if it is just another region in the EU. Taking order from Brussels, and receiving hand outs from them instead of London - just trading one foreign parliament for another eh! Not very honest is it! Tell the people the truth Plaid!

  • Actually, Chinese is the world's most spoken language. :)

  • Dowch rwan annibyniaeth amdani

  • Dowch rwan mae'n rhaid cael annibyniaeth

  • Aw, but I love Wales :( I'd be sad to see Wales go. I wish more countries could work together instead of making loads of small countries as though "independance" is more important than peace and co-operation. Eng, Scot and Wales are on one small island. I think we should stick together. United we stand divided we fall.

  • Well said.

  • As in, well said SparkyCola3

  • hope you get your independence. surprised that you never fought harder for it in the past. you deserve your freedom and hope you get it. daz from birmingham. welsh birds are fit.

  • Longbore1415 Scotland and Wales are going to get independence, and then England will be independent as well, so why are you so angry and insulting? I think you're a xenophobic wee Brit who wants to keep hanging on to the memory of the past. Too bad.

  • Exactly, we hate you all so please leave. Well said freescotlandnow.

  • English racist attitudes (as above) towards the Welsh are an excellent advert for independence. Why stay in a union where Wales is treated with contempt?

  • Yes i do, used by backward thinking twats to acheive nothing until the English took it, developed it and hammered the Frogs, Jocks and you Taffy wankers..Next History question please.

  • Hello first question are you inbred because you act like it. secondly the Tudor family who were a group of english monarchs were a Welsh family, Henry the 7th could speak Welsh.

  • You do know the longbow was a Welsh invention dont you?

  • England want idependence from you Bastards.

ENGLISH IS THE WORLD LANGUAGE, you backward thinking sheep fuckers

  • u can call it 'backward thinking' but I think its just a case of wanting to preserve our language, culture and heritage. Can u really blame us for wanting to do that? This doesn't mean we wanna go back to the dark ages. do u think every country in the world should just let go of their languages and start speaking english because its the 'world language' which it isnt cos chinese and spanish have more speakers. And yeah thats right we fuck sheep, very original, well done!

  • Quick point: English is the most commonly spoken language in the world. Mandarin Chinese and maybe Spanish might have more NATIVE speakers, but a tally of how many people in the world can speak English would put English well ahead of both Spanish and Mandarin.

  • its good that welsh people are speaking welsh but to have it as the main language wouldn't be a good idea, socially or economically, for example, you cant be a pilot anywhere in the world if you dont speak english.

though its good that welsh is still a spoken languagein wales.

    peace

  • This is Caerphilly cheese on toast but it gets the main messages across. Im sold!

  • I thought it was very well done

  • I don't know, I like the angle.

  • What a terrible political broadcast! It says nothing about us.
