I love natural fish tanks with just plants and a few pieces of bogwood. I used to have all those tacky ornaments in mine and now i just use plants and bogwood! Looks so much better. ;-)
I used to have a 10 gallon tank with 3 mollies, after a few weeks they started to die off. The only male was gone first, his heart was literaly eaten out. A few days later the other female was dead, her chest had been ripped open and her heart was gone. The last molly we named the black widow (she was black). Is heart eating normal?
how much did you pay for the green phantom pleco??
If the latin name you gave is correct its a 'highfin' L200 which means it should be more expensive than the other L200 whose latin name is something like hemiancistrus subirdivis
interesting, tank with beautiful fish :) i have one black angel with a load of black neons in a 55 but i'm worried it'll try to snack on them when it grows up :S how well do yours get along with your rasboras?
Very calm and relaxing. What kind of backgound is that. Usually I don't like backgrounds but I like yours. Is it glued to the back of the aquarium? I am a new hobbyist....Please check out my two aquariums and feel free to voice your opinion.
i have 4 juvenile angels along with 2 otos in my amazon biotope tank; yours looks nice but it'll look better natural-wise if u add a driftwood half d length/width/height of your tank and set it right in d middle back of your tank then surround d driftwood sides with plants and voila!
bubbles look cool and help aerate water but the angelfish and gouramis won't like too much movement in d water d bubbles will cause as they like slow-moving water.
Two Angels, 6 black Neons and 4-6 Corys. With some sword plants and floating plants, and perhaps a small piece of driftwood. don't forget darker substrate to enhance the Amazon biotope effect. :) This would look pretty good IMHO.
i attempted an amazon biotope tank and so far so good, will upload later this month when i feel it's complete; i think it's still missing a few things?..
lovely tank 5/5 (i love it) i need also an advice....
I have real plants,i use carbon but something like black hairs grow up to my plants (sorry for my but English but i am from Greece) i look forward your reply ... THX
The black hairs you see are most likely string algae. They are very common, and most fish find a potential meal in them, if other food sources are scarce. I wouldn't worry about this though, if your plants don't rot and look healthy then you should be fine.
delightful tank. Im still not sure about angel fish though, they just get so big. Still i love your tank and the fish are beautiful. thanks for the vid.
I bet Cory Cats would love that! Mine will stick their whole heads down in the sand and swim around with nothing but their tails sticking out, its really cute. Great tank, 5 stars!
very pretty fish. I have the same kind of gourami that my sister gave me a few months ago. It looks like you did some serious trimming of plants compared to your previous video. gave those fishies some room to swim. :) thanks for the upload.
hehe well yes I did trim some plants. But I bought new plants very recently so the tank is much greener now than it is on this video. :) Only this time I carefully picked out the new plants that would not steal too much space and were easy for the fish to acces or hide in.
angelfish looks great! sometimes I like tanks with just a few large graceful fish other than dozens of darting small fish.

@MaxJNorman As long as the angel is well fed it shouldn't consider the neons as a food source.

Extraordinary nice and calm tank. I especially like the P. scalare.
If the Triochopteri seem to "kiss" that's actually some kind of fight, but I think it usually doesn't inflict real wounds.

I think you should put a bubble curtain in the back. That's what I did to mine, and I think the gouramis LOVE the bubbles.
