  • Because of the constant aggresion level of africans, and the convicts willingness to take on anything 3 times its size, convicts are the only fish I recremend for africans. They are just as fast, agressive, big, and hardy as each other. So i give you a HUGE thumbs up! :D

  • what cichlids?

  • perfect tank for cichlids

  • Where did you get the rocks?

  • lake superior as well as the sand

  • im going to breed some other kind of fish any suggestions reply plz!!!!

  • depending on what size tank you have how it is layed out and how much money you have. i would breed p demasonis they are a smaller mouth brooder and are sometimes considered dwarf cichlids. they are very sought after and is personaly my favorite cichlid. though they are expensive it will all be worth when you are tradeing the 1/2 inch fry in for cash at the pet shop. must worn you though you cant just put 3 of 4 of them in a tank you need at least 12 or you will end up with 1 I learned hard

  • nice cichlids and great setup

  • woah looks pretty sick! nice job man.Fishes look happy : )

  • thank you do you keep fish 2

  • Yea I used to,I breed them :).Now I keep frogs instead.

  • oh awesome i have an unused 20 gal in my garage ill just spice it up a bit and i think i might use it for cichlids or puffers im not sure yet =/

  • whet ever you do dont put cichlids and puffers in it. it will be a fight to the death from hell but u probably already know that.and just for reference puffers are born fresh water mature in brackish and live there adult lives in salt watter so i would suggest at least a 30to40 gallon non reef salt water setup if you are going to raise puffers and you cant breed puffers scientest and marine biolgist dont even know how they breed. they are amazing fish and take skill to raise properly good luck

  • how many gallons?

  • it is a 20 gallom tank

  • thanks yeah well it depends on the puffer there are many kinds. Spotted green puffers fit youre description of a puffer. But dwarf puffers or figure 8 puffers actually pretty much live in only salt water. They can live in low brackish conditions but if they are put in high brackish-fully salt they will die =/ so i guess it depends on the kind

  • Again very nice tank good job.

  • all the aquascapeing in my aquarium is from the beach of lake superior. its amazing what you can do with a little immagination and a local beach. i will be posting an updated vidieo in the next few days.

  • Awesome setup I love the look and feel of your tank. Very relaxing tank. Make you wonder why you even have a TV. What type of fish do you have in there i think that i see a Labidochromis caeruleus, and i think maybe a Pseudotropheus crabro but i'm not sure.

  • i now have a lace synodontis catfish bumble catfish 3 yellow labs, 3 convicts, hornet cichlid, and i dont know what the long blue cichlid is, but i know that my CONVICTS are afraid of it! convicts arnt as agressive as people make them seem. i onc had a 3/4 inch demansoni that almost killed an adult convict. in my experiance demansonis are the most agressive chiclid i also have a pleco whos eye was promptly removed from his head due to an intrusion on the convicts breeding big mistake.

  • yes you are right i wish you the best of luck and have fun
