  • Freemasonry influence welcome to the NWO everyone...

  • There were some weird kapu's back in the days. Alii were not allowed to touch their feet on the ground. Sometimes they can only travel at night. Commoners and lesser chiefs had prostrate themselves to a higher chief and if the shadow a coommer were to fall on a chief he would be punished. There was also a kapu in which a chief could only face the sun at a certain angle.

  • So what America? Ready to give our land back? Be honest it is a shame what was done to our people, our government was literally stolen because those ha'oles at the time were all conspiring against our government to make a radical change in the islands. What they didn't understand was that without Hawaiian people controlling the land they were disrupting the perfect balance between the land and people that we maintained for thousands of years. Every day Hawaiians are losing unless we get it back!

  • KAMEHAMEHA "rose to power" hahaha that's some spin. he lied to his rival, enticed him to meet with him on the promise of making peace between them then murdered him

  • I am from hawaii and im not hawaiian but i learned all this stuff in school

  • @Hawnguy100 Actually Hawn..An apology was not Our Peoples aim. We didn't want an apology and we didn't ask for one. As far as I'm concerned they can keep their apology because its just empty words and frankly it's simply not good enough.

  • hawaii is not a us state, ask your state senator there is no treaty of anixation

  • Heaven forbid if anyone else has an opinion that does not mesh with theirs. To anyone of Non-Hawn descent I'll advise you to think and make sure that you have all your facts straight before making asinine comments or assumptions on the subject of Hawai'i, it's People& it's History and I don't mean reading a history book that was published in the states or using Wikipedia either. B/c it's insulting to "US" how misinformed you really are and yet still have the utter audacity to pretend otherwise.

  • I would love to go to Iolani Palace one day

  • iolani palace makes me cry whenever i'm next to it in downtown honolulu i know its tooo lae for hawaii to be its own country state or territory life has gone on and cannot go back but i us want to know why was it taken with such force and denied for so long get over it the us took our land and culture

  • The colonies were founded on genocide and thievery. America came to fruition with even more bloodshed schools teach theses lessons but how quickly they are forgotten.

  • more americans should know the truth, they are totally ignorant of so many terrible things their country has done, not least of witch STEALING our islands from us in a time of peace. even now we are legally not a state at all but an occupied nation.

  • Umm ok. Never wanted to offend anyone. I have read all comments. Please enlighten me.

  • Yes the only Royal Palace in the United States. The Kingdom of Hawaii is an interesting story. I heard that the Hawaiian government was corrupt which is why the US Government stepped in for the people. Then becoming the Republic of Hawaii for a short time with even a President. Either way I love Hawaii!

  • Perhaps it should be noted that the Hawaiian people loved their royalty and that foreign interests led to the overthrow of the Kingdom. It should also be noted that in 1887, the king was forced under threat of assassination to sign a constitution that stripped him of his rights, and stripped the ability to vote away from all citizens and placed it in the hands of those who owned large portions of land and the native Hawaiians had little concept of private land ownership weren't allowed to vote.

  • Correct but actually members of the "Honolulu Rifles" (an all-Caucasian militia secretly armed by the US Navy in Pearl Harbor) kidnapped him and he was told by Judd and others that the Honolulu Rifle would be willing to kill off the entire Royal Family, including the then 10 year Princess Ka'iulani. The King signed the 1887 Constitution to save the lives of his family and heirs, as well as to prevent bloodshed of the Hawaiians since he believed that the Honolulu Rifles were backed by the US.

  • @hokulani78 yes he made a choice

    .

now stop whining around and accept the king's decision

    .

he could have been brave, but he was a selfish coward

    .

LIVE WITH IT and stop trying to get a DO OVER

  • Public Law 103-150 clarifies that the monarchy was deposed not because of corruption but because of American business and military interests and put in an all-American protectorate which called themselves a republic since the annexation treaty failed in the US Senate twice. The US Senate knew that Hawaiians did not support the the new US-led government. In 1897, over 90% of Hawaiians signed petitions against the Annexation of Hawai'i to the US. Even this video does state that.

  • I'm sorry, but your version of Hawaiian history is insulting and complete revisionism.

  • The Morgan report was the highly suspect document, not the Blount report. Of course the U.S. is going to wage a smear campaign to get their hands on the islands. Corruption?? It's plain to see who is corrupt in this case. But whatever, the power of the United States in rewriting history as it pleases will sway the majority of viewers here.

  • Actually Benny, we loved our Mo'i, our kings and queens. almost the entire native hawaiian population signed a declaration sent to washington requesting that our monarch, Queen Lili'uokalani, be restored to the throne. My great grandmother was a lady in waiting in her court. She said the sound of hawaiians wailing at the lowering of our flag on annexation day could be heard all over honolulu. many of the programs for our people today are still funded by estates from our ali'i. aloha kaua, keli'i

  • It kind of breaks my heart that you heard thatI hope it wasn't in a classroom. As a Hawaiian I'm baffled by the misinformation being thrown around and the disrespect being showed toward Hawaiians on this board. But what's new? For most Americans to continue thinking so highly of themselves, they have to deny pretty much all the wrongs they have done and blame the brown people. Go figure.
