Just because Kasumi is shy and tender, that doesn't mean she can't kick ass. Besides, Kasumi is looking for her brother in the first DOA game, so this is quite similiar in small ways to the games. And just because she doesn't look like her game counterpart at all, is a bit stupid. Not all actresses can look like their game counterparts.

I hate how they butchered the movie from the game. Christie is supposed to be dangerous, Helena is french and graceful, Kasumi is tender and shy, Ayane is a badass and is Kasumi and Hayate's half sister, so it would be awkward for their to be a "love" theme. All in all...this movie sucks.

They made Ayane Suck : ( best fighter in the game they did her so wrong in this movie she's just some white girl with a purple wig. This Max person is a waste of a character slot too... So is the computer nerd... Could've put Hitomi in here... and the fight between chris and helena was epic best in the movie

okay if you dont follow the story of the original game, or the characters of the original game at least follow their technique to 100% you know? but no...we didn't even get to see most of the characters fighting techniques and kasumi and ayane techniques are not even close to being the similar.

The plot may lack a bit but other than that , the acting , the selection of the actors for each character and most important the action in the movie is pretty good . For me DOA is one of the ''most succesful'' combat movies if you compare with Mortal Kombat , Tekken and others .

I understand you completely. The casting for those two was so, so wrong. They were my favorite characters in the game so It really upsets me deeply. Helena is supposed to be a refined french woman. Not some moronic teeny-bopper bimbo like this character. And Kasumi is supposed to have orange hair. And they should have gotten an actress with a thicker frame. Devon is far too petite.
