Netgear is CRAP!! I got 1 hi speed DG834N Rangemax which had major power issues and the hi-speed feature does not work!!! got a replacement for the faulty one and it doesnt connect to the broadband, the modem is faulty! They recommend using the USB dongle WN111 but check the web and you will see from the many comments that it and the Netgear router N features dont work like they say it does. Hi speed? works great at 54mbps go to N mode and the dongles has trouble connecting even in close range

If you are a gamer never buy a netgear router. I have one and i get connection problems every 15 minutes of gaming. If you love to get angry at your computer get a netgear router. My counter strike 1.6 and source and DoD lag out every 15 minutes and when i do what happens is ping loads up on your internet. When I lag it goes up to 500ms ping and says connection problem and internet disconnects (restart internet). Please use this review for your advantage.

I was at my local Fry's, and saw this router in refurb boxing for $34.00. I figured I'll try it out. This router supports DD-WRT and I updated the firmware.

The DD-WRT firmware made this router so much better, increased the range dramatically.
