  • About 40% too fast and way too stiff. This song is supposed to swing.

But if that's how they like it...

  • snr drum to loud man !!!!!!!

  • to bad the sound quallity isn't that so so but hey you can't have everything in life i guess

but still its a bazy beat

  • Thanks for the comment. BzB :-)

  • Sweet job man. Enjoy your stuff. What heads would you be using here??

  • I am pretty sure those were just Evans Hydraulic. They are usually dark colored but with the lights shining right on them they look more clear.

    BzB :-)

  • Whats the deal with these heads Bazy??? I'm thinking of trying them out on my kit...

  • On a acustic drum??!!??

  • Yep...I play it all. Whatever the job requires. BzB :-)

  • Hold on I thought you only really played electronic drums. In this one your playing an acoustic set aren't you. If I was wrong sorry.

  • Dude..it is quite all right. I play it all...I have three acoustic kits and two electronic kits here in the house. I also have a bunch of other stuff like African drums and misc perussion stuff. BzB :-)

  • Good job BZB......Well sound it not so good on this video, but i beleive that live, it`s sound better...

  • Yes...it was a great gig and it did sound so much better live. The cam only gets it so good. Thanks for writing...BzB :-)

  • What kind of drums? Too bad the sound coul'nt get dubbed from the board tho.

  • ya...a board track would have been nice...but that is rare. Finding a soundman that is willing to do it for you is just not the norm. The drums are Pearl Masters Studio...BzB :-)

  • You are just a hater looking for attention. Let me guess...You are somewhere between 7th and 9th grade...Right? :-) BzB

  • thats giving him to much credit...

  • Very true...I am going to just stop responding and instead remove comments from people that do not want to back up their claims or just come out of the box hatin without a cause. BzB :-)

  • Haters are , like you said, a 7th-9th grader, who is a loser at school, and likes starting internet wars. I'm a 7th grader, but I don't start internet wars. Love and kindness is the only way! :)

  • Thats a good man there dudeononewheel...you stay that way bro. BzB :-)

  • Nice, btw whats the white screen for?

  • I think they use the screen for TV when there is no band in there. Stuff like football and such...they use a TV projector to shoot it up there. Thanks for taking time to comment. BzB :-)

  • Your welcome, I've never seen someone who comments back as much as you!

    Good work :)

  • I promise...I do have a life outside of YouTube...I just check this thing between 3 to 5 times a day...it helps keep the numbers down...if I only checked it once a day there would be too many to respond to. BzB :-)

  • What kinda music are you gyes playing? =)

  • That is Rock and Roll. BzB :-)

  • pure orville redenbacher POPCORN snare!

  • I love it. BzB :-)

  • Hey man,

Hah, I dig the drumming. It's a nice break from all the metal all my other friend drummers seem to play. =] Keep it going man, you're very good.

    ~Anthony~

  • Thanks Drumstar...BzB :-)

  • bazy this is an old friend, James from new york i hope everything is good with you. good video although i wish you didnt show this video it is about drugs. lol :)

    anyways ill email you man.

    peace

    -James-

  • Hey James...thanks for writing...I respect your opinion of the song but to me music is about a feeling, a sound, a rythm..not necessarily the words. Even the words can be about whatever you make of them...it does not mean drugs to me. It is a smooth feeling song with a good beat thats all. Peace back to ya brother...and rock on. BzB :-)

  • bazy are you ok dude? im worried man its been along time since you posted a vid

    hope your all good

    god bless

  • Yep...I am still here...just been very very busy lately. I will get back to it soon...my band is starting to play out regularly...I will get a chance to do vid soon...I have not had any help in a while...but I will again. BzB :-)

  • ey bazy...i noticed u changed ur tom heads

  • Actually, in this vid I had the same dark Evans heads but the lights were shining down into them and it made them look like clear heads. I am changing the heads though...I have found a new head I am going to try. BzB :-)

  • awesome work!!!i think i remeber u sayin u lived in tampa,, i liv in Boca! mayb u can throw down some names where u play my friends an i would want to see the show in person

  • Thats cool...I just had a show this last Friday night with my new band. It was a hit and we will start having more work soon. Drop by my MySpace. The address to it is on the end of most of my vids. I will post dates and info for shows on the right hand side right under my "Happy" Sign. If you come up you have to say hi. BzB :-)

  • hey bazy

how longs the new vid gonna be? im dying here :D

    take care

  • I am not sure 4905...I am slammed with school starting last week...it usually takes about 3 weeks for me to get into my groove at work and then I can get free to do stuff again. I will have a gig coming up this Friday and I supose I could shoot some vid of that. BzB :-)

  • hey bazy!!! i think u should make like an educational dvd about drumming and stuff some time! idk, just a thought!

  • I have been working on that idea...it will be a while yet...but maybe next summer I can get that together. BzB :-)

  • yo bazy Tulip here just wanna tell u that somthing really strange that happend to me today. I was getting pissed off at my kit coz i couldnt get my rythem right so i got angry and started to hit all the drums as hard and fast as i could. I did this for about 10mins b4 i realized that i had a rythem? It was like death metal and sound'ed really cool so i did it again and recorded it. It sounded even better. =) IM DOING IT!! IM BECOMING A DRUMMER!! ;)

  • Awesome Tulip...keep at it my man. BzB :-)

  • Great job man, i really respect what doing with this bazybeats thing, keep it up!!! o yea, and i was wondering if you've hear a program called the paul green school of rock? if not you should search for on you tube, it teaches kids any instrument they want and gives them a chance to play concerts with other students!!!

  • Wow moose..that sounds cool...I will check it out. BzB :-)

  • moose yea I'm in that. Except I'm in the Thomas Goss School of rock.

Bazy man, this whole thing is so awesome, and you do it all for free we seriously all appreciate it! You rock man never stop!

  • thats great ure mad good u should be playin for a really famous band too bad everyone uses sub drums like keyboards and drum tabs

  • Thanks for the comment notasmart...I do have a new band project that I will play in regularly...we will be ready to get out and play soon. There will be videos of that project too. BzB :-)

  • you where glasses? *gasp*

  • No 218...I do not wear glasses...those are orange colored shades. I like to wear them on stage sometimes because it helps me to be able to see out past the bright lights that we are sometimes hit with on stage...I actually have really good vision 20/15 and I am even able to read some of the stuff on the 20/10 chart...just not enough for them to call it 20/10. BzB :-)

  • well sweet, hahahahahaha, anyway, nice video bazybeats

  • Thanks bro...and when I get more time again I will pump out some more killer vids. Stay tuned in there. BzB :-)

  • hell yes i will

  • Hey Baz, please give some advise on the double stroke.. Where to start, how to practice, and how to start integrating it with playing. I grew up a Peart follower, and never really saw the benefit of double strokes, therefore proceeding to learn drumming without them. Now I am finding it hard to change gears, if you will, and feel comfortable using them instead of singles. Thanks.

  • Hey CraigTube...it has been a while since I have heard from you. Thanks for chiming in. I will see what I can come up with for that...but it may be tough to explain over a video. I will give it some thought though. Thanks again Craig...BzB :-)

  • craig a little tip my teacher taught me was to keep you fingers in the matched grip position (thumbs on the side) and when you need to do a double drop your last three fingers for a split second then regain control, but to do well this can take time, the main thing is to keep your thumbs on the side and just loosen off a for a split second, keeping your fulcrum fixed, so the sticks are secure,. Hope this helps man

  • Thanks. I'll definately keep these things in mind when I'm working on it.

  • Actually Craig...after giving it some thought as to how I would try to put it all in words...and now reading archipelligos comment...I would say he has it pretty much the way I would do it except I also use my last three fingers to snap the stick back...I tighten just a little bit between strikes...it is still hard to explain. BzB :-)

  • i beleive korn have joey jordison at the moment?!?!

and i agree korn are incredible

    l8r bazy an thanks

    :-)

  • hmmmm

    big arena tour bands

    thanks bazy

    seth :-)

  • I would like to play for Prince, Toto or Korn...now out of those bands it would be a tough choice. BzB :-)

  • thanks bazy

    one more thing...

if you could pick to play with any band for a gig who would it be?

    see you later bazy

    seth

    :-)

  • Well RideCrash...do you mean local bands or big, signed, national and, or international acts? That would make a big difference in my response...BzB :-)

  • bazy you are the man!!!

p.s which kit do you prefer playing? your electric (i beleive you have a roland TD-10?) or your acoustic

    thanks bazy

    seth

    :-)

  • Hey RideCrash...nice to see you back around and commenting...Hmmmmm...I really like both kits and enjoy them both..as for playing them on stage it depends on the type of music and the venue as to which one gets out of the box...but if it were totally just my choice, I would always play electric kit (TD20 by the way)..I love that damn thing. BzB :-)

  • very nice as usual!

  • hey bazy cool vid.your accoustic kit sounds very good.

your snare as a rich sound.very cool keep it up ..

  • hey avoserisk...nice to see you back around the channel...I will definately be keeping it up...I have more live vids coming up...I will be doing an outdoor gig with the Big Brother Band on St. Petersburg Beach on the 28th of July and hope to have a lot of good footage from that show. BzB :-)

  • hehehe, very cool intro you have :) sounds cool, but im looking more from your personal vids :) keep it up

  • Hey dark3zz...you mean you want more vids with me just playing here in the house by myself? BzB :-)

  • i kno thats what i want

  • Bazy as usall amazing and nice flow, sorry i havent put up any vids yet like i promised but i have been extremmlllllllllly busy lol but soon enough ill put up some stuff just for ya ;-)

  • haha you made the rest of them sound crappy, nice bazy.

  • TCG...it is just the business brother...you go out and give your best when you play...sometimes it comes off great and other times you want to run and hide...BzB :-)

  • Nice Glasses man.

    Thats one catchy tune.

Whats that disc looking thing hanging above your bass drum hoop - Looks like some kind of bell or something...

  • Yea...I am diggin those cheap shades too. I just bought them and I think they are awesome. They block the UV but also brighten things up for driving at dusk and dawn. The disk is a Zil-Bell. It is my son's. He let me borrow it for the night(LOL)but true story. BzB :-)

  • ... just got it here in YouTube - check it out!

Watch out the drumplay of Mel Gaynor. It's the same beginning.

    youtube video with index: v=V0rK8b2rryo

    ;-)

    AlexG

  • Just checked it out...Yea...that beginning is pretty standard...I have played it in a few songs before. I have never heard that Simple Minds song. They pretty much disapeared in America in the 90's. My favorite tune by them is "Once Upon a Time." BzB :-)

  • Hi Bazy,

    that's really cool!

The beginning of your drumplay sounds a bit like "Book of Brilliant Things" from Simple Minds. Just the first 3 - 4 tunes... ;-)

    Keep on Rock'n!

    AlexG

  • great drumming

  • Thanks for stopping in pwner...BzB :-)

  • Great job Bazy!

What kind of sabians are you using?

  • Thanks Limezeey...If you watch my vid "Acoustic Discussion" I give a run down on all the cymbals in that vid. BzB :-)

  • Well i just discover a new band and a new song that i like ! ... By the way you look great with glass ... The perfomance is cool but you have a issue with the sound.. It can be tricky too sync 2 videos ... Like you said on a previous post you need to feed the cam with the song board.

  • Yes...it is tricky with the multi track vid stuff...and I am learning it. In time I will have it down...but yes...I must get that board sound hooked up to be perfect. I am working on it WickedBoss...so look for that in the next few vids hopefully. I am glad you came by to comment Wicked...BzB :-)

  • Fantastic job, my friend! The dynamic changes were spot-on with the rest of the band! Any of your bands ever get a chance to inhabit a recording studio for a while and give the vocalist a chance to hit everything properly without having to try and match volume, and it'd sound great!

  • Thanks Grooviliciousness...Yep...I have always been fortunate to play with the best of the players around this area. Thanks for checking it out...BzB :-)

  • wow!!!! awesome dude. are those new heads on the toms?

  • Nope justin...same heads that I have been using...the lights are really intense on stage and they shine right through the tint on the heads...I was blown away when I saw the vid too...that is when I noticed. It did not look that way from my angle behind the kit during the gig. BzB :-)

  • hey bazy as usual it sounds great im gettin meinl mb20 cymbals and dw 9000 pedals and harware and a ddrum kit it willsound awsome and remo ebony pinstripe heads

  • Thanks lildrumman...sounds like you have a heck of a kit coming...congrats on the new stuff bro...BzB :-)

  • Well done again Bazy! I loved and i think everyone does! 5 stars man! Im proud to have subscribed to you. oh and can i ask that... my band have completed a song called "aneurysm" by nirvana but we have a problem which is that wwe dont have a mic. do you know any good places online to get one? Cheers bazy. :) -Mikey

  • great job bazy as usual...yea, the drums do sound really good...great video...5 stars =)

  • Thanks for commenting this vid Imsocool...BzB :-)

  • awesome performance as always bazy i've been waiting for a video for awhile and here it is:) your drums sound amazing i'm getting a new kit in september:)

    bonzo

  • Thanks bonzo...I wish you could have heard what the drums sounded like through the sound system here...but the cameras just dont pick it up that well. I am working on being able to record directly from the sound board for the next video..then you will see what the mic's and processing do for the sound of these drums...I cant wait. BzB :-)

  • cool....love it!!!

  • That is incredibly fast johnpgray...you were on it and replied in less than 16 minutes from the time it posted...thanks for checking it out and being first to comment. BzB :-)

  • lol no prob!... sure it's only 7:15pm over here in Ireland.. just finished my day of drum lessons! :D

  • Thats funny...it is in the middle of the afternoon here and I had been working on editing video since early this morning and part of last night. BzB :-)

  • bazy that was good mate well done. you kept time well and the fills were spot on. really solid playing i visited florida from england last year but having a younger brother we had to do disney, consequently the only beach i visited was daytona but next i go ill have to go to madeira beach

  • Thanks archipelligo..I appreciate the comment and complements as always. I do hope that you can make it out this way someday and catch a show...keep me informed. BzB :-)
