First of all let me say... Whitney Houston is back. The person. Thats most important. As far as her voice. Of course its not as good as it used to be. But she still sounds good. And with time she'll work back to the place she was. I honestly believe this decade is hers for the taking. Last decade she went through the hell and high water. This decade is hers. Whitney is my favorite female singer. Knowing she can't sing as good as she used to, really makes me sad! I'm sorry to say this, I want to get straight! This is the result of drug addiction. It really affected her voice. But I think there's a chance 2 regain her powerful voice. First & foremost she must live a healthy life & stop using drugs. Then, she has to do lots of efforts in voice work out and training.

What makes her so special is her tone the emotion! and she can still hit those high notes and control them. I agree, I mean shes an older woman and she hasnt sung in about 9 or 10 years, actually it gets better with each performance, take Beyonce for example, she doesnt sound the same as she did when she did the Destiny's Child album " Writting On The Wall. its all about the voice maturing and somewhat changing.

Whitney is my favorite female singer. Knowing she can't sing as good as she used to, really makes me sad! I'm sorry to say this, I want to get straight! This is the result of drug addiction. It really affected her voice. But I think there's a chance 2 regain her powerful voice. First & foremost she must live a healthy life & stop using drugs. Then, she has to do lots of efforts in voice work out and training.

yes, something's wrong, it's called weed, crack and cigs....it's taken it's toll, she'll never be the same but she'll clean and healthy for her daughter, I don't care if she ever sings again.....this is sad to listen to, glad to have her old stuff.

Cocaine has destroyed alot of great voices through the years. If you're a heavy user it eats the lining of your nose which causes a constant stuffiness and nasal drip that never goes away which causes your voice to sound like you've always got a cold. As far as I know it's irrepairable, once it's done, it's done.

How does that prove she's a mezzo? A Mezzo is by vocal range, and she NEVER had the range of a mezzo. She had the range of a regular soprano, but now after all the drugs and cigs she has the range of a contralto, which is an alto with a high range. How does being on those list mean she's a mezzo? Please...

Whitney houston doesn't lip sing lol.. and she still sounds pretty good in this video etc... everyone has there bad days though. What makes her so special is her tone the emotion! and she can still hit those high notes and control them. Her voice isn't like it use to be but she still sounds better than most people out here today. With time her voice will regain its glory little by little one thing you can say about her good performance or not this women doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.
